2. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • 1 x Steel Frame (Alloy Steel)
  • 1 x Polyethylene Greenhouse Cover
  • 1 x Mesh Bug Cover
  • 8 x Clips for Planter Attachment

Note: The planter is not included with this product.

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your CedarCraft Greenhouse & Bug Cover Combo:

  1. Assemble the Steel Frame: The steel frame components connect using convenient push-fit connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Attach Frame to Planter: Position the assembled frame over your compatible CedarCraft planter (CC_ELV2372 series). Use the 8 provided clips to secure the frame firmly to the planter's edges. This prevents the frame from shifting.
  3. Install Desired Cover: Select either the greenhouse cover or the bug cover. Drape the chosen cover over the steel frame. Secure the cover to the frame using the integrated Velcro tabs. Ensure all tabs are fastened to prevent the cover from dislodging in wind.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Using the Greenhouse Cover

The polyethylene greenhouse cover is designed to create a warm, humid environment, ideal for starting plants earlier in spring and extending your growing season into the fall. It helps protect plants from cold temperatures and light frost.

  • Accessing Plants: The cover features dual zipper doors on the front for easy access to your plants for watering, tending, or harvesting.
  • Ventilation: For ventilation or prolonged access, roll up the zipper doors and secure them with the integrated Velcro ties.

4.2. Using the Bug Cover

The mesh bug cover provides protection for your plants against insects, pests, birds, and other small animals, without impeding airflow or sunlight. It is suitable for use during warmer months when pest protection is a priority.

  • Accessing Plants: Similar to the greenhouse cover, the bug cover also has dual zipper doors for convenient access to your plants.
  • Ventilation: Roll up and secure the zipper doors with Velcro ties for increased airflow or extended access.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity of your CedarCraft Greenhouse & Bug Cover Combo:

  • Cleaning Covers: Clean the polyethylene and mesh covers periodically with a mild soap solution and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust or damage. While the frame is made of alloy steel, prolonged exposure to moisture can cause wear.
  • Storage: When not in use, especially during extreme weather conditions or off-season, remove the covers and frame from the planter. Clean and dry all components, then store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CedarCraft Greenhouse & Bug Cover Combo, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Cover Not Staying Secure: Ensure all Velcro tabs are firmly attached to the frame. Verify that the 8 clips are properly securing the frame to the planter. High winds may require additional anchoring (not included).
  • Difficulty with Zippers: Ensure the zipper path is clear of any fabric or debris. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if the zipper is stiff.
  • Frame Instability: Confirm that all push-fit connectors on the steel frame are fully engaged. Ensure the frame is correctly seated on the planter and secured with all 8 clips.
