3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the three included AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. The scale will automatically power on once batteries are installed or when stepped on.

On the underside of the scale, next to the battery compartment, you will find a small button or switch. Press this button to cycle through the available units: pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), and stones (st). Select your preferred unit before taking a measurement.

To utilize the full body composition analysis features, download the Vitafit app from your device's app store (Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android). Once installed, open the app and follow the on-screen prompts to create your user account. You will be asked to provide personal information such as gender, birth date, and height. 3.4 Bluetooth Pairing

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Open the Vitafit app and navigate to the device pairing section (often indicated by a '+' or Bluetooth icon). Step onto the scale to activate it. The app should automatically detect the "HB Body Fat" scale. Tap on the detected device name within the app to complete the pairing process. A successful connection will be indicated in the app.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Taking a Measurement

1. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpets or uneven floors for accurate readings).
2. Open the Vitafit app on your smartphone and ensure Bluetooth is active and the scale is paired.
3. Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are centered on the metal electrodes. Stand still until the weight reading stabilizes on the scale's LED display.
4. The app will automatically receive your weight and other body composition data via Bluetooth.

For weight-only measurements without app synchronization, simply step onto the scale. The LED display will show your weight. Note that body composition data requires app connection and bare feet contact with the electrodes.
