2. Safety Instructions

- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gloves, eye protection, and a face shield, when operating the furnace or handling molten metal.
- Operate the furnace in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
- Ensure the furnace is placed on a stable, non-combustible surface, away from flammable materials.
- Do not touch the furnace or crucible with bare hands during or immediately after operation, as surfaces will be extremely hot.

5. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
- Placement: Place the furnace on a flat, stable, heat-resistant, and non-combustible surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the furnace for ventilation and to prevent heat transfer to surrounding objects.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the furnace and then to a properly grounded 110V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet can handle the 1400W power draw.
- Crucible Insertion: Place the desired graphite crucible into the furnace chamber. Ensure it sits securely at the bottom.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Initial Use and Preheating
- Before melting, preheat the furnace for 15 minutes at 200-300°C. This helps to condition the crucible and furnace lining.
6.2. Setting Temperature

- Turn on the power switch.
- Press the SET button to enter the temperature setting mode. The green display number indicates the set temperature value.
- Use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons to adjust the desired melting temperature. The furnace can reach up to 1100°C.
- Once the desired temperature is set, press the SET button again to confirm and save the setting. The furnace will begin heating.
- The red display number shows the actual temperature inside the furnace.
6.3. Melting Process
- After preheating and setting the temperature, carefully place the metal to be melted into the crucible using the provided crucible forceps. Ensure the metal is clean and dry.
- Close the furnace lid.
- Monitor the digital display. The furnace will heat up to the set temperature. Melting times vary depending on the metal type and quantity, typically 40-55 minutes for metals below 1100°C.
- Once the metal is molten, carefully open the lid using the crucible lid handle.
- Using the crucible forceps, carefully lift the hot crucible from the furnace.
- Pour the molten metal into your desired mold (e.g., the coin graphite ingot mold). Pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing.
- Place the empty crucible back into the furnace or onto a heat-resistant surface to cool.
- Allow the cast metal to cool completely before handling.
