1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury, fire, or property damage. Always exercise extreme caution when operating high-temperature equipment.

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant gloves, eye protection, and a face shield, when operating the furnace or handling molten metal.
• Operate the furnace in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
• Ensure the furnace is placed on a stable, non-combustible surface, away from flammable materials.
• Do not touch the furnace or crucible with bare hands during or immediately after operation, as surfaces will be extremely hot.
• Never leave the furnace unattended while it is operating.

5. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
2. Placement: Place the furnace on a flat, stable, heat-resistant, and non-combustible surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the furnace for ventilation and to prevent heat transfer to surrounding objects.
3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the furnace and then to a properly grounded 110V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet can handle the 1400W power draw.
4. Crucible Insertion: Place the desired graphite crucible into the furnace chamber. Ensure it sits securely at the bottom.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Initial Use and Preheating

1. Before melting, preheat the furnace for 15 minutes at 200-300°C. This helps to condition the crucible and furnace lining.

6.2. Setting Temperature

1. Turn on the power switch.
2. Press the SET button to enter the temperature setting mode. The green display number indicates the set temperature value.
3. Use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons to adjust the desired melting temperature. The furnace can reach up to 1100°C.
4. Once the desired temperature is set, press the SET button again to confirm and save the setting. The furnace will begin heating.
5. The red display number shows the actual temperature inside the furnace.

6.3. Melting Process

1. After preheating and setting the temperature, carefully place the metal to be melted into the crucible using the provided crucible forceps. Ensure the metal is clean and dry.
2. Close the furnace lid.
3. Monitor the digital display. The furnace will heat up to the set temperature. Melting times vary depending on the metal type and quantity, typically 40-55 minutes for metals below 1100°C.
4. Once the metal is molten, carefully open the lid using the crucible lid handle.
5. Using the crucible forceps, carefully lift the hot crucible from the furnace.
6. Pour the molten metal into your desired mold (e.g., the coin graphite ingot mold). Pour slowly and steadily to avoid splashing.
7. Place the empty crucible back into the furnace or onto a heat-resistant surface to cool.
8. Allow the cast metal to cool completely before handling.

• Silver: 961.78°C
• Copper: 1083.4°C
• Aluminum: 660°C (Note: A layer of alumina may need to be sanded off for optimal melting.)

• Cleaning: Ensure the furnace is completely cool and unplugged before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or liquids inside the furnace chamber.
• Crucible Care: Inspect crucibles for cracks or damage before each use. Replace damaged crucibles immediately to prevent molten metal leaks. Graphite crucibles are consumable and will degrade over time.
