General Safety Rules
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Do not operate the pole saw when fatigued, under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
- Keep children, bystanders, and pets at a safe distance (at least 15 meters / 50 feet) from the work area.
- Inspect the pole saw before each use for loose parts, damage, or fuel leaks. Do not operate a damaged tool.
- Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles, power lines, and other hazards.
- Never operate the pole saw in poor lighting conditions or adverse weather.
- Always hold the pole saw firmly with both hands during operation.
- Be aware of kickback. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.
- Never modify the pole saw. Use only manufacturer-approved replacement parts and accessories.
Fuel Safety
- Mix gasoline and 2-stroke oil in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks or open flames.
- Use a mixing ratio of 20-25:1 (Gasoline:Oil).
- Store fuel in an approved container, away from heat sources.
- Never refuel a hot engine. Allow the engine to cool before adding fuel.
- Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
Cutting Safety
- Plan your cuts. Identify the fall direction of the branch.
- Maintain a balanced stance and secure footing.
- Avoid cutting above shoulder height.
- Be aware of falling branches and debris.
- Never stand directly under the branch being cut.

Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your pole chainsaw. Ensure all connections are secure before operation.
- Attach the Chainsaw Head: Align the chainsaw cutting head with the end of the main pole shaft. Secure it firmly using the provided coupling mechanism and tighten any fasteners.
- Install the Guide Bar and Chain:
- Remove the chain cover from the chainsaw head.
- Carefully place the saw chain around the sprocket and guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction.
- Mount the guide bar onto the studs on the chainsaw head.
- Replace the chain cover and loosely install the nuts.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the guide bar by hand.
- Tighten the chain cover nuts securely.

- Connect Extension Pole Segments (Optional): If additional reach is required, connect the extension pole segments between the main pole shaft and the engine unit. Ensure all connections are fully engaged and secured. The total length can reach up to 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) with the extension pole segments.
- Attach the Handle and Shoulder Harness: Install the ergonomic front handle onto the main pole shaft at a comfortable position. Attach the shoulder harness to the designated points on the pole saw to distribute weight and reduce fatigue during operation.
- Connect the Engine Unit: Securely attach the engine unit to the other end of the main pole shaft (or extension pole if used). Ensure all electrical and mechanical connections are properly made.

Setup
Fuel Mixing
Your pole saw is powered by a 2-stroke gasoline engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 89 or higher, mixed with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil.
- Mixing Ratio: 20-25 parts gasoline to 1 part 2-stroke oil (20:1 to 25:1).
- Use the provided fuel mixing bottle for accurate measurement.
- Pour the required amount of 2-stroke oil into the mixing bottle first, then add gasoline up to the marked level for your desired ratio.
- Shake the mixture thoroughly before pouring it into the pole saw's fuel tank.
- Fuel Tank Capacity: 1000ml (33.81 oz).

Chain Lubrication
The chainsaw chain requires continuous lubrication during operation. Fill the chain oil reservoir with good quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or motor oil, as this can damage the chain and guide bar.
- Locate the chain oil reservoir cap on the chainsaw head.
- Fill the reservoir with bar and chain oil.
- Ensure the cap is securely tightened after filling.
Operating Instructions
Starting the Engine
- Place the pole saw on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the chain brake is engaged (if applicable).
- Set the choke lever to the "FULL CHOKE" position.
- Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
- Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls).
- Once the engine "pops" or attempts to start, move the choke lever to the "HALF CHOKE" or "RUN" position.
- Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.
- If the engine does not start after several pulls, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Cutting Techniques

Image: User demonstrating the LOYALHEARTDY pole chainsaw in action, reaching a high tree branch for trimming.
Always maintain a firm grip on the pole saw with both hands. Use the shoulder harness to support the weight and maintain balance.
- Pre-cutting Inspection: Before each cut, assess the branch for tension, potential kickback, and clear a safe fall path.
- Undercutting: For larger branches, make a small undercut on the underside of the branch first. This prevents the branch from splitting and pinching the guide bar.
- Top Cut: Make the main cut from the top of the branch, slightly further out from the undercut.
- Final Cut: After the main weight of the branch has fallen, make a final clean cut closer to the main trunk or limb, ensuring not to cut into the branch collar.
- Avoid Overreaching: Do not extend the pole saw beyond a comfortable and stable reach.
- Chain Speed: Always operate the saw at full throttle when cutting to ensure proper chain speed and lubrication.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your pole saw.
After Each Use
- Clean the Unit: Remove sawdust, debris, and sap from the guide bar, chain, and engine cooling fins.
- Check Chain Tension: Ensure the chain tension is correct. Adjust if necessary.
- Check Chain Lubrication: Verify the chain oil reservoir is adequately filled.
- Inspect for Damage: Look for any loose fasteners, damaged parts, or fuel leaks.
Periodical Maintenance
- Chain Sharpening: A dull chain requires more effort to cut and can cause kickback. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Refer to a professional if unsure.
- Guide Bar Maintenance: Clean the guide bar groove and oil holes. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
- Air Filter Cleaning: Clean or replace the air filter as needed to maintain engine performance.
- Spark Plug Inspection: Inspect and clean the spark plug. Replace if worn or fouled.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and replace the fuel filter if it appears clogged.
