  1. Attach the Chainsaw Head: Align the chainsaw cutting head with the end of the main pole shaft. Secure it firmly using the provided coupling mechanism and tighten any fasteners.
  2. Install the Guide Bar and Chain:
    • Remove the chain cover from the chainsaw head.
    • Carefully place the saw chain around the sprocket and guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction.
    • Mount the guide bar onto the studs on the chainsaw head.
    • Replace the chain cover and loosely install the nuts.
    • Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the guide bar by hand.
    • Tighten the chain cover nuts securely.

  3. Connect Extension Pole Segments (Optional): If additional reach is required, connect the extension pole segments between the main pole shaft and the engine unit. Ensure all connections are fully engaged and secured. The total length can reach up to 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) with the extension pole segments.
  4. Diagram showing the assembled pole chainsaw with dimensions, indicating a total length of 240-350cm (94.49-137.8 inches).

  5. Attach the Handle and Shoulder Harness: Install the ergonomic front handle onto the main pole shaft at a comfortable position. Attach the shoulder harness to the designated points on the pole saw to distribute weight and reduce fatigue during operation.
  6. Connect the Engine Unit: Securely attach the engine unit to the other end of the main pole shaft (or extension pole if used). Ensure all electrical and mechanical connections are properly made.

Setup

Fuel Mixing

Your pole saw is powered by a 2-stroke gasoline engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 89 or higher, mixed with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil.

Chain Lubrication

The chainsaw chain requires continuous lubrication during operation. Fill the chain oil reservoir with good quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or motor oil, as this can damage the chain and guide bar.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine

  1. Place the pole saw on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Ensure the chain brake is engaged (if applicable).
  3. Set the choke lever to the "FULL CHOKE" position.
  4. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
  5. Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine attempts to start (usually 1-3 pulls).
  6. Once the engine "pops" or attempts to start, move the choke lever to the "HALF CHOKE" or "RUN" position.
  7. Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.
  8. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.
  9. If the engine does not start after several pulls, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
