4. Setup Guide

4.1. Install Batteries

  1. Gently open the back cover of the sensor.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the back cover securely.

4.2. Download the App

Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile device's app store:

  • For iOS devices: Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in the App Store.
  • For Android devices: Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in the Google Play Store.

Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

4.3. Add Device to App

  1. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
  3. Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner or select "Add Device".
  4. The app should automatically discover the sensor via Bluetooth. If not, manually select "Sensor" > "Temperature and Humidity Sensor (Wi-Fi)".
  5. Confirm the device and enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network password. (Note: 5GHz WiFi is not supported).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Viewing Real-time Data

Once connected, open the app and select your sensor from the device list. You will see the current temperature and humidity readings.

5.2. Setting Alerts

  1. In the sensor's interface within the app, navigate to "Settings" or "Automation".
  2. Select "Temperature Alarm" or "Humidity Alarm".
  3. Set your desired upper and lower thresholds for temperature and humidity.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The sensor is powered by two AAA batteries. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification in the app. To replace batteries:

  1. Open the back cover of the sensor.
  2. Remove the old AAA batteries.
  3. Insert two new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  4. Close the back cover securely.

Battery life can last up to 2 years depending on usage and environmental conditions.
