4. Setup and Assembly

The FlyingJoy Rollator Walker is designed for tool-free assembly. Follow these steps:

  1. Unfolding the Frame: Carefully remove the rollator from its packaging. Stand the frame upright and gently pull the handles outwards until the frame locks into its open position. Ensure the cross-braces are fully extended.
  2. Attaching the Backrest: Slide the backrest into the designated slots on the rear uprights of the frame until it clicks securely into place.
  3. Installing the Storage Bag: Position the storage bag under the seat and secure it using the attached straps or clips to the frame.
  4. Attaching Accessories: Clip the cup holder and cane holder to the desired locations on the frame.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Adjusting Handle and Seat Height

The rollator features adjustable handles and seat to accommodate various user heights for optimal comfort and posture.

  • Handle Height: Press the adjustment buttons on the handle tubes and slide the handles up or down to one of the 6 available settings. Ensure the buttons fully engage in the desired holes. Handle height adjusts from 32.48 to 39.96 inches.
  • Seat Height: Locate the adjustment pins on the seat support frame. Pull the pins, adjust the seat to one of the 4 available positions, and release the pins to lock. Seat height adjusts from 20.07 to 22.83 inches.

5.2 Brake System Operation

The rollator is equipped with a reliable dual-brake system offering three modes:

  • Free Mode (Walking): Squeeze the brake levers gently to slow down or control speed while walking.
  • Deceleration Mode: Partially engage the brake levers for controlled slowing.
  • Stop/Parking Brake: Push the brake levers down until they lock into place. This engages the parking brake, preventing the rollator from moving. Always engage the parking brake when sitting or when the rollator is stationary.

5.3 Folding and Storage

To fold the rollator for transport or storage:

  1. Ensure the storage bag is empty.
  2. Lift the seat upwards using the handle located in the center of the seat.
  3. The frame will begin to collapse inwards. Continue to pull the lever until the rollator is fully folded.
  4. Secure the folded rollator with the attached strap to prevent it from unfolding during transport.

5.4 Using the Seat and Storage Bag

  • Seat: To use the seat, ensure the rollator is on a flat, stable surface and both parking brakes are engaged. Sit down slowly and carefully. The breathable backrest provides comfort.
