1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your ORIA Digital Alarm Clock, model WA123. This device features a large 10.5-inch LED display, dual alarms, adjustable brightness, and displays time, date, and temperature.

Note: A 5V USB power adapter is required for operation and is not included. A CR2032 button battery is pre-installed for time memory backup.

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

  1. Connect the provided USB power cable to the clock's power input port.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a 5V USB power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB port.
  3. The display will light up, indicating the clock is powered on.

4.2 Battery for Memory

The clock includes a pre-installed CR2032 button battery. This battery is solely for maintaining time settings during a power interruption and does not power the display. The clock must be connected to a USB power source for normal operation.

4.3 Placement

The ORIA Digital Alarm Clock offers two placement options:

  • Tabletop: Place the clock on any flat, stable surface.
  • Wall Mounted: Use the integrated wall mounting holes on the back of the clock to hang it securely on a wall.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting Time and Date

  1. Press the TIME SET button to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press TIME SET again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
  4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
  5. Continue pressing TIME SET to cycle through year, month, and day settings, adjusting each with the UP and DOWN buttons.
  6. Press TIME SET one last time to exit the setting mode.

5.2 12/24 Hour Mode and Temperature Unit

  • Press the ℃/℉ button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit for temperature display.
  • Press the 12/24H button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats. In 12-hour mode, "AM" or "PM" will be displayed.

5.3 Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

The clock supports two independent alarms.

  1. Press the ALARM SET button once to set Alarm 1. The alarm icon and hour digits for Alarm 1 will flash.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press ALARM SET again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. Adjust with UP and DOWN.
  4. Press ALARM SET again to select the ringtone (40 options). Adjust with UP and DOWN.
  5. Press ALARM SET again to select the alarm volume (4 levels). Adjust with UP and DOWN.
  6. Press ALARM SET one last time to save Alarm 1 settings and exit.
  7. To set Alarm 2, press ALARM SET twice quickly and follow the same steps as for Alarm 1.

5.4 Activating/Deactivating Alarms

Press the ON/OFF button to toggle Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 on or off. The corresponding alarm icon (1 or 2) will appear on the display when active.

5.5 Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press any button (except ON/OFF) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will pause for 5 minutes and then sound again. To turn off the alarm completely, press the ON/OFF button.

5.6 Brightness Adjustment

The clock offers 5 levels of manual brightness adjustment and an automatic dimming feature.

  • Manual Adjustment: Press the LIGHT button repeatedly to cycle through the 5 brightness levels (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).
  • Automatic Dimming: The clock can automatically adjust its brightness based on the time of day. Refer to the full manual for specific settings if available, or observe its behavior.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean the clock, gently wipe the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the device, as this may damage the surface or internal components.

6.2 Battery Replacement (CR2032)

The CR2032 button battery is for memory backup only. If the time settings are lost frequently during power outages, the battery may need replacement. Carefully open the battery compartment on the back of the unit, replace the old battery with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity, and close the compartment.

6.3 General Care

  • Avoid exposing the clock to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Do not drop or subject the clock to strong impacts.
  • Keep the clock away from strong magnetic fields.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank:
    • Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to both the clock and a working 5V USB power adapter.
    • Check if the power outlet is functional.
  • Alarm does not sound:
    • Verify that the alarm is activated (corresponding alarm icon is displayed).
    • Check the alarm volume setting.
    • Ensure the alarm time is set correctly.
  • Time settings are lost after power outage:
    • The CR2032 memory battery may be depleted and needs replacement.
  • Incorrect temperature reading:
    • Ensure the clock is not placed near heat sources or in direct sunlight, which can affect sensor accuracy.
