Operating Instructions
The Royal 91044Q shredder features an auto start/stop function for convenience.
- Power On: Locate the power switch, typically on the back or side of the shredder, and set it to the "ON" position. The shredder will enter standby mode.
- Feeding Documents: Lift the slide-top housing to reveal the paper entry slot. Insert up to 16 sheets of paper (80gsm) into the paper entry slot. The shredder will automatically start and stop once shredding is complete.
- Shredding Credit Cards: Insert one credit card at a time into the dedicated credit card slot. The shredder will automatically start and stop.

- Overheat Protection: The shredder is equipped with an overheat protection system. If the motor becomes too hot, the shredder will automatically shut off. Allow it to cool down for approximately 20-30 minutes before resuming operation.
- Bin Full Indicator: The transparent viewing window on the waste bin allows you to monitor the shredded paper level. An indicator light may also illuminate when the bin is full.
- Power Off: When finished shredding, set the power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your shredder.
- Emptying the Waste Bin: When the waste bin is full, pull it out from the front of the shredder. Dispose of the shredded material responsibly. Reinsert the bin firmly until it clicks into place.
- Shredder Oiling: To maintain cutting performance, regularly oil the shredder blades. Apply shredder oil (specifically designed for paper shredders) across the paper entry slot while the shredder is running in reverse for a few seconds. Alternatively, apply oil to a sheet of paper and shred it.
- Cleaning: Unplug the shredder before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the shredder. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
