4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The camcorder uses a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
- Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the camcorder.
- Insert the battery into the compartment, aligning the contacts correctly.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2 SD Card Installation
A Class 10 or above SD card (up to 32GB recommended) is required for storing recordings.
- Locate the SD card slot inside the battery compartment.
- Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently press the card until it pops out.
4.3 Powering On/Off
To power on the camcorder, simply open the LCD screen. It will automatically power on. To power off, close the LCD screen.
4.4 Initial Settings
Upon first power-on, you may need to set the date and time. Navigate through the menu using the control buttons.
5. Operating
5.1 Recording Video
Once powered on, the camcorder is typically in video recording mode. Press the Shutter/Record Button to start recording. Press it again to stop.
5.2 Taking Photos
To switch to photo mode, press the Mode button. Once in photo mode, press the Shutter/Record Button to capture a still image.
5.3 Digital Zoom
Use the Zoom Lever to zoom in (T) or zoom out (W) digitally up to 16X magnification.
5.4 Menu Navigation and Settings
Press the Menu button to access settings. Use the directional buttons to navigate and the OK button to select options. Available settings include:
- Movie Size: Adjust video resolution (e.g., 1080P, 720P).
- White Balance: Adjust color balance for different lighting conditions.
