3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Power Connection

3.4 USB and Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. USB Playback: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the digital MP3 player section. Use the built-in controls (play/pause, skip tracks, mode) to manage playback.
  2. Bluetooth Connection: Press the MODE button on the digital MP3 player until 'Bluetooth' is displayed. On your mobile device, search for the mixer's Bluetooth name (e.g., 'BLUE-AUDIO' or similar) and pair.
  3. USB to PC Recording: Connect the mixer to your computer via a USB cable. The mixer will function as an audio interface, allowing you to record mixed audio directly to your computer.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Channel Controls

Each input channel features a set of controls to shape the audio signal:

  • GAIN: Adjusts the input sensitivity for the microphone or line signal.
  • EQ (High, Mid, Low): Three-band equalizer for adjusting the treble (HF), midrange (MF), and bass (LF) frequencies of each channel.
  • AUX: Controls the send level to the auxiliary output, often used for monitor mixes or external effects.
  • FX: Controls the send level to the internal effects processor.
  • PAN: Adjusts the stereo position of the channel's signal (left to right).
  • Level Fader: Controls the overall volume of the channel's signal sent to the main mix.

4.2 +48V Phantom Power

The mixer provides +48V phantom power for condenser microphones. Locate the +48V switch on the main section of the mixer. Press this button to activate phantom power for channels 1-4. Ensure condenser microphones are connected before activating phantom power to prevent damage.

4.3 Real-time Monitoring

Connect headphones to the PHONES output for real-time monitoring of the mixed audio. Adjust the HEADPHONES volume knob to your desired listening level.

4.4 Effects Control

The mixer includes built-in reverb effects. Each channel has an FX knob to send a portion of its signal to the effects processor. The overall level of the effects is controlled by the EFFECTS fader in the master section.

  • Distorted Sound: Reduce the GAIN knob for the affected channel. Check if the input signal is too hot. Ensure cables are not damaged.
  • No Microphone Sound: Confirm the microphone is properly connected. If using a condenser microphone, ensure +48V Phantom Power is activated. Check the channel's GAIN and Level faders.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure the mixer is in Bluetooth mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings and try re-pairing. Move closer to the mixer to reduce interference.
