5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Checking Tire Pressure

  1. Ensure tires are cold for the most accurate reading.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the gauge. The LCD display will illuminate.
  3. Select your desired unit of measurement (PSI, BAR, or kPa) by repeatedly pressing the power button until the desired unit is displayed.
  4. Remove the valve cap from the tire.
  5. Firmly press the nozzle of the tire gauge straight onto the tire valve stem. A good seal is crucial for an accurate reading. You may hear a slight hiss of air; adjust the position until the hiss stops.
  6. Hold the gauge in place for 2-3 seconds until the reading stabilizes on the digital display.
  7. Remove the gauge and read the pressure. The gauge has a memory function to hold the reading for a short period.
  8. Replace the tire valve cap.
  9. Repeat for all tires, including the spare if applicable.

5.2 Using the LED Flashlight

To activate the LED flashlight, locate the dedicated flashlight button (if present) or press and hold the power button for a few seconds. The flashlight is useful for checking tire valves in low-light conditions or as a general utility light.

5.3 Using the Seatbelt Cutter (Emergency Use Only)

In an emergency where a seatbelt is jammed, use the integrated seatbelt cutter. The cutter is recessed for safety. Carefully hook the seatbelt into the cutter's slot and pull the tool firmly across the belt to cut it. Keep fingers clear of the blade.

5.4 Using the Glass Break Tool (Emergency Use Only)

In an emergency requiring window egress, use the glass break tool. Press the pointed end of the tool firmly against a corner of the side window. The spring-loaded mechanism will activate, breaking the glass. Aim for the corners as they are the weakest points. This tool is designed for side windows only, not windshields.
