1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the COOKTRON 1.7L Electric Kettle. This manual provides essential information for the safe and proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• The kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not use it for heating other liquids or food.
• Ensure the lid is securely closed before operating.
• Do not fill above the MAX line or below the MIN line.

4. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its accessories.
2. Clean: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Position: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling where it can be pulled or tripped over.
4. Cord Storage: The power base features convenient cord storage underneath. Adjust the cord length as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Fill the Kettle: Press the lid release button to open the lid. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark (1.7L). Close the lid securely.
2. Place on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
3. Plug In: Insert the power plug into a grounded wall outlet.
4. Start Boiling: Push the ON/OFF switch downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
5. Automatic Shut-Off: Once the water reaches a rolling boil, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. The cool-touch exterior and handle ensure safe handling.
7. Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, wait a few seconds for the thermostat to reset, then push the ON/OFF switch downwards again.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• The interior of the kettle is 100% stainless steel. For general cleaning, rinse with water. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits, use a descaling solution or a mixture of vinegar and water. Boil the solution, let it sit for an hour, then rinse thoroughly.
• Do not immerse the kettle body or power base in water or any other liquid.
