4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Unpacking and Preparing the Board
- Unroll the SUP board on a clean, flat surface, free from sharp objects.
- Locate the high-pressure inflation valve, typically at the tail of the board.
4.2 Inflating the SUP Board
- Ensure the valve pin is in the 'up' position (closed) to prevent air from escaping.
- Attach the hose of the double-action hand pump to the valve by twisting it clockwise until secure.
- Begin pumping. The double-action pump inflates on both the up and down strokes. Once the board becomes firm, you can switch to single-action mode (if available on your pump) for easier pumping to higher pressures.
- Inflate the board to the recommended pressure of 18 PSI (1.24 Bar). Use the integrated pressure gauge on the pump to monitor the pressure. Do not overinflate.
- Once inflated, quickly disconnect the pump hose and ensure the valve cap is securely fastened.

4.3 Attaching the Fins
- Slide the large central fin into its fin box at the rear of the board. Secure it with the provided clip or pin.
- Insert the two smaller side fins into their respective slots.
4.4 Assembling the Paddle
- Connect the three sections of the aluminum paddle. Ensure the spring clips engage securely.
- Adjust the paddle length to your height. A common guideline is that the paddle handle should reach your wrist when your arm is extended overhead. Secure the adjustment clamp.

4.5 Attaching the Safety Leash
- Attach one end of the coiled safety leash to the D-ring at the tail of the SUP board.
- Secure the other end of the leash around your ankle. This leash keeps you connected to your board if you fall off.
5. Operation
5.1 Entering the Water
- Carry the inflated SUP using the central handle.
- Wade into water deep enough to avoid damaging the fins.
- Kneel on the center of the board, placing your hands on either side for stability.
5.2 Paddling Techniques
- Standing Up: From a kneeling position, place your paddle across the board. Stand up one foot at a time, keeping your feet shoulder-width apart and slightly bent knees. Look towards the horizon for balance.
- Basic Stroke: Hold the paddle with one hand on the T-handle and the other on the shaft. Reach forward, immerse the blade fully, and pull it back towards your feet. Keep your core engaged.
- Turning: To turn right, paddle on the left side of the board. To turn left, paddle on the right side. For sharper turns, use a sweep stroke by paddling in a wide arc.

5.3 Storage and Gear
The elastic bungee cord system at the front of the board can be used to secure dry bags, water bottles, or other small items. Ensure items are waterproof and securely fastened.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
After each use, rinse the SUP board, paddle, and fins with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and dirt. Use mild soap and water for stubborn stains. Ensure the board is completely dry before storage to prevent mold and mildew.
6.2 Storage
- To deflate, press the valve pin down to the 'open' position. Air will rapidly escape.
- Roll the board tightly from the nose to the tail, pushing out any remaining air.
- Store the deflated board, paddle, pump, and fins in the provided carrying backpack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6.3 Repairs
Small punctures can be repaired using the included repair patch kit. For larger damage, contact Intex customer support or a professional repair service.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Intex Aqua Quest 320 SUP.
- Board losing air: Check the inflation valve for proper closure and ensure no sand or debris is preventing a seal. Inspect the board for punctures. Use soapy water to locate small leaks.
- Difficulty maintaining balance: Ensure the board is fully inflated to 18 PSI. Practice kneeling before standing. Keep your gaze forward, not at your feet.
- Paddle feels too short/long: Re-adjust the paddle length. The top of the paddle handle should reach your wrist when your arm is fully extended overhead.
