4. Operating Instructions

This section guides you through the various washing and drying cycles available on your Hitachi BW-DV80H.

4.1 AI Wash

The AI Wash feature intelligently senses various conditions of your laundry, such as load amount, detergent type (liquid or powder), water hardness, and water temperature, to automatically adjust the washing method and time for optimal cleaning. This helps achieve excellent results while potentially saving water and electricity.

If the AI detects a large amount of dirt, it may extend the wash time (up to 10 minutes automatically) to ensure thorough cleaning. It also adapts the wash method based on whether you use liquid or powder detergent, maximizing cleaning power.

4.2 Niagara Beat Wash

This powerful washing method uses a high-concentration detergent solution and a large volume of water from the Niagara Shower to penetrate deep into fabrics. It combines pressing, beating, and rubbing actions to effectively remove sebum stains and stubborn mud, reducing the need for manual pre-washing.

4.3 Hot Water Niagara Beat Wash

For persistent yellowing and odor-causing bacteria, select the Hot Water Niagara Beat Wash course. The power of warm water combined with the Niagara Beat Wash effectively removes these issues, leaving your clothes fresh and bright. Note that not all yellowing can be removed, and results may vary depending on the type of stain and fabric.

4.4 Wrinkle Reduction Course

This course is designed to minimize wrinkles and tangling, especially for delicate items or when you want to reduce ironing time. It uses controlled rotation and spin speeds to gently handle clothes. While effective, this course may use more water and electricity compared to standard cycles.
