Setup

Battery Installation

The TASER Pulse 2 typically comes with a battery pack. If not pre-installed, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the safety switch is in the "SAFE" (down) position.

  4. Securely close the battery compartment.

Cartridge Installation

  2. Point the device in a safe direction.
  3. Align the cartridge with the front of the device, ensuring the top of the cartridge matches the top of the device.
  4. Push the cartridge firmly into the device until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
  5. To remove, press the cartridge release buttons on the sides of the device and pull the cartridge out.

The TASER Pulse 2 features a dual-sided safety switch. To engage the safety, push the switch down to the "SAFE" position. To disengage and prepare for firing, push the switch up to the "ARMED" position. Always keep the safety engaged until you are ready to deploy the device.

Aiming and Firing

  1. Identify Threat: Only use the device when faced with an immediate threat to your safety or the safety of others.
  2. Disengage Safety: Push the safety switch up to the "ARMED" position. The laser sight and flashlight will activate.
  3. Aim: Use the laser sight to aim at the target's center mass. The optimal range is up to 15 feet.
  4. Fire: Pull the trigger firmly. The probes will deploy, and the device will deliver a 30-second Neuro-Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) cycle.
  5. Re-engage Safety: After deployment, if the threat is neutralized, immediately re-engage the safety switch to the "SAFE" position.

The device is designed to temporarily override an attacker's central nervous system, limiting muscular control for 30 seconds, allowing you time to escape to safety.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Keep your TASER Pulse 2 clean and free of debris. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

Battery Check

Regularly check the battery indicator to ensure your device is powered. Replace the battery pack when the indicator shows low power. The battery is not designed to be user-replaceable in the field; contact TASER for service if needed.

Storage
