3. Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Ensure all listed components are present: K1800PS unit, pressure washer gun, stainless steel spray wand, 15° nozzle, 65° nozzle, turbo nozzle, adapter for 3/4" garden hose, removable detergent tank, and M22 20 ft. pressure washer hose.
- Assemble Unit: The K1800PS requires no tools for assembly. Attach the handle and wheels as per the quick start guide.
- Connect Water Supply: Attach the adapter for a 3/4" garden hose to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Connect your garden hose to the adapter. Ensure the water supply is turned on before powering the unit.
- Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect the M22 20 ft. pressure washer hose to the high-pressure outlet on the unit and to the pressure washer gun. Ensure connections are secure.
- Attach Spray Wand and Nozzle: Select the desired quick-connect nozzle (15°, 65° soap, or turbo) and attach it to the spray wand.
- Fill Detergent Tank (Optional): If using detergent, remove the 0.5-gallon detergent tank and fill it with your preferred pressure washer detergent. Reinsert the tank securely.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the on/off foot switch is in the 'off' position before plugging in.
4. Operating Instructions
- Start the Unit: Ensure the water supply is fully open. Press the on/off foot switch to turn on the pressure washer. The motor will run briefly to build pressure and then automatically shut off.
- Purge Air from System: Before applying pressure, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun for approximately 30 seconds to allow air to escape and water to flow smoothly.
- Select Nozzle: Choose the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task:
- 15° Nozzle: For general cleaning tasks on various surfaces.
- 65° Soap Nozzle: For applying detergent. This nozzle provides a wide, low-pressure spray suitable for soap application.
- Turbo Nozzle: For intense cleaning power on stubborn dirt and grime.
- Apply Detergent (with 65° Soap Nozzle): With the 65° soap nozzle attached, the unit will draw detergent from the integrated tank when the trigger is squeezed. Apply detergent to the surface, allowing it to soak as recommended by the detergent manufacturer.
- Rinse: Switch to the 15° or turbo nozzle for rinsing. Hold the spray gun at a safe distance from the surface and move it steadily to remove dirt and detergent.
- Stop the Unit: Release the trigger on the spray gun. The motor will automatically shut off. To completely power down, press the on/off foot switch to 'off' and unplug the unit.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning Nozzles: Regularly check nozzles for clogs. If a nozzle is clogged, remove it and clear any debris using a small pin or the included nozzle cleaning tool.
- Detergent Tank: After each use with detergent, rinse the detergent tank thoroughly with clean water to prevent residue buildup.
- Water Inlet Filter: Periodically inspect the water inlet filter for debris. Clean or replace if necessary to ensure proper water flow and prevent damage to the pump.
- Hose and Connections: Check the high-pressure hose and all connections for leaks or damage before and after each use. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Winter Storage: If storing the pressure washer in an area where temperatures may drop below freezing, it is crucial to drain all water from the pump and hoses to prevent damage. Run the unit without water until all water is expelled, or use a pump protector/antifreeze solution.
6. Troubleshooting
If your K1800PS pressure washer is not operating correctly, please check the following common issues:
- No Power: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working outlet and the on/off foot switch is in the 'on' position. Check the circuit breaker.
- No Water Flow/Low Pressure: Verify the water supply is fully open and the garden hose is not kinked. Check the water inlet filter for clogs. Ensure the correct nozzle is attached and not clogged.
- Motor Runs Continuously: This may indicate a leak in the system. Check all connections for tightness and inspect the hose for damage.
- Detergent Not Dispensing: Ensure the 65° soap nozzle is attached and the detergent tank is filled. The unit only dispenses detergent at low pressure with the soap nozzle.
