Setup
- Charge the Battery: Insert the NBF2 Lithium Battery into the NCF2 Battery Charger. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The battery indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes 30 minutes.
- Install Battery: Once charged, slide the battery pack into the base of the NTE11L Power Tubing Expander until it clicks securely into place.
- Select Expander Head: Choose the appropriate quick-connect expander head for the desired tubing size (e.g., 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/8").
- Attach Expander Head: Align the expander head with the tool's chuck and push it in. Turn and lock the head into position. Ensure it is securely fastened before use.
Operating Instructions
The NTE11L is designed for use with soft or annealed copper tubing only. Tubing should be reamed and deburred before expanding.
- Prepare Tubing: Cut the copper tubing to the desired length and ensure the ends are clean, reamed, and free of burrs.
- Insert Tubing: Gently insert the end of the copper tubing into the selected expander head.
- Start Expansion: Press and hold the one-button trigger on the tool. The expander head will begin to expand the tubing.
- Automatic Pressure Relief: The tool will automatically stop and relieve pressure once the expansion is complete. This typically takes about 12 seconds.
- Remove Tubing: Release the trigger and carefully remove the expanded tubing from the head.
- Stopping Operation: Operation may be stopped at any point during the cycle by releasing the action button. To resume, press the button again.
