3. Setup

3.1 Assembly (Bar and Chain Installation)

Refer to the detailed instructions in the included instruction manual for proper bar and chain installation. Ensure the chain is oriented correctly for cutting.

3.2 Fuel and Oil Mixing

The chainsaw requires a mixed fuel of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil. The recommended fuel ratio is 40:1 (Gasoline:Oil). For initial break-in, a slightly richer oil mixture (e.g., 25:1) may be used for the first few tanks as per the manufacturer's recommendation in the manual.

3.3 Filling Tanks

The chainsaw has separate tanks for fuel and bar & chain oil.

  • Bar & Chain Oil Tank: Approximately 140-145 ml capacity. Use high-quality bar and chain oil.
  • Fuel Tank: Approximately 550 ml capacity. Fill with the pre-mixed fuel.

Ensure caps are securely tightened after filling.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Chainsaw

Always place the chainsaw on a firm, flat surface before starting. Ensure the chain brake is engaged.

  • Cold Start:
    1. Engage the chain brake.
    2. Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
    3. Pull the choke lever out fully.
    4. Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine "pops" or attempts to start.
    5. Push the choke lever in halfway.
    6. Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts.
    7. Once the engine runs, push the choke lever in fully.
    8. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before use.
  • Warm Start:
    1. Engage the chain brake.
    2. Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
    3. Pull the starter cord until the engine starts. Choke may not be needed.

4.2 Chainsaw Handling and Cutting Techniques

Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the chainsaw handles. Keep your feet firmly planted and maintain balance. Plan your cuts to avoid kickback and ensure the safe falling of timber.

4.3 Chain Brake Operation

The chain brake is a crucial safety feature. Push the front hand guard forward to engage the brake, stopping the chain immediately. Pull it back towards the handle to disengage. Always engage the chain brake when starting the chainsaw, moving between cuts, or in case of kickback.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Chain Tension Adjustment

Proper chain tension is vital. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled around by hand. To adjust, loosen the two locking nuts on the side cover, then use the adjuster screw (typically located near the bar) to achieve the correct tension. Retighten the locking nuts securely.

5.2 Bar Maintenance

To ensure even wear and extend the life of your guide bar, it is recommended to flip the bar periodically (e.g., every 10-15 hours of use). Clean the guide bar groove regularly to remove sawdust and debris.
