Operating Instructions
1. Setting/Changing the Passcode
The safe comes with a default password. It is highly recommended to change this to a personalized code for security.
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button located inside the battery compartment cover. The yellow light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Enter your new master code (3 to 8 digits) on the keypad.
- Press the '#' key to confirm. The yellow light will flash twice, and two beeps will sound, indicating successful code change. If the yellow light flashes three times with three beeps, the code change failed, and you need to try again.
- Test your new password with the door open before closing it.

2. Opening the Safe
The safe can be opened using the electronic keypad or the emergency key.
Using the Keypad:
- Enter your personalized 3-8 digit password.
- Press the '#' key. The green light will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
Using the Emergency Key:
This method is used if you forget your password or if the batteries are depleted.
- Gently push and remove the small cover plate located next to the keypad to reveal the emergency keyhole.
- Insert the emergency key into the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise.
- While holding the key turned, rotate the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
- Remove the emergency key and replace the cover plate after use.
Using External Power (USB-C):
If the batteries are dead and you don't have the emergency key readily available, you can use an external USB-C power source.
- Locate the USB-C port on the keypad panel.
- Connect a portable charger or power bank to the USB-C port.
- Once powered, enter your password on the keypad and rotate the knob clockwise to open the safe.
- Replace the internal batteries as soon as possible.

3. Alarm System
The Tenamic Safe Box is equipped with an alarm system for added security.
- If 3 continuous incorrect password entries are made, the safe will activate a warning beep for 20 seconds.
- To stop the alarm, open the safe using the emergency key or the correct password, and remove the batteries.
Maintenance
- Regularly check the battery level and replace batteries when low to ensure continuous operation of the electronic lock.
- Keep the emergency keys in a secure location, separate from the safe, to ensure access in case of electronic lock failure or forgotten password.
- Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Ensure the safe is properly mounted if applicable, and periodically check the tightness of the mounting screws.
Troubleshooting
- Safe will not open with password: Ensure batteries are not depleted. Try using the emergency key or external USB-C power. Re-enter the password carefully.
- Alarm sounds frequently: Check if incorrect passwords are being entered repeatedly. Ensure the safe door is fully closed and locked.
- Keypad not responding: Check battery installation and charge. Use external USB-C power if batteries are dead.
