4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the internal battery.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the flashlight.
2. Connect the flashlight to a power source using a USB-C cable (not included).
3. The indicator light will show charging status (refer to the indicator light section for details).
4. Charging is complete when the indicator light changes (e.g., from red to green).

4.2 AAA Battery Installation (Backup Power)

The E8 supports an external AAA battery for backup power.

1. Unscrew the head of the flashlight to access the battery compartment.
2. Insert one AAA battery (not included) with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
3. Securely screw the head back onto the flashlight.

4.3 Attaching Accessories

• Pocket Clip: Slide the pocket clip onto the flashlight body until it securely snaps into place.
• Key Ring: Attach the provided key ring to the designated loop on the flashlight body.

5. Operating Instructions

The RovyVon Angel Eyes E8 features two buttons: a main button (Button 1) and a secondary button (Button 2).

5.1 Main Light Operation (Front LED)

• Momentary On: Press and hold Button 1 for instant light. Release to turn off.
• Constant On/Off: Double-click Button 1 to turn on the main light. Single-click to turn off.
• Cycle Brightness: When the main light is on, single-click Button 1 to cycle through brightness levels (e.g., Low → Medium → High → Turbo).

5.2 Side Light Operation (White, Red, Blue LEDs)

• Moonlight Mode: Single-click Button 2 to activate the moonlight mode (low white light). Single-click again to turn off. This mode is designed to preserve night vision.
• Red Night Vision Mode: Rapid double-click Button 2 to activate the red night vision mode.
• Cycle Signal Settings (from Red Mode): While in red night vision mode, single-click Button 2 to cycle through:
  • Red Flash
  • Red Beacon
• Blue Light: Triple-click Button 2 to activate the blue light.
• Red & Blue Flash: Quadruple-click Button 2 to activate the red and blue flashing signal.

5.3 Lockout Mode

To prevent accidental activation, especially when carrying the flashlight in a pocket or bag:

• Activate Lockout: Quadruple-click Button 1. The blue indicator light will flash 3 times to confirm lockout.
• Deactivate Lockout: Quadruple-click Button 1 again. The green indicator light will flash 2 times to confirm unlock.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the flashlight body. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Water Resistance: The E8 is waterproof. Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.
• Battery Care: If using an external AAA battery, remove it if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• Fluorescence Rubber Seal: The rubber seal glows in the dark after exposure to light. This is a feature, not a defect.

7. Troubleshooting

• Flashlight not turning on:
  • Check if the flashlight is in Lockout Mode. Deactivate it by quadruple-clicking Button 1.
  • Ensure the internal battery is charged. Connect to a USB-C power source.
  • If using an external AAA battery, check its charge level and proper installation.
• Dim light output:
  • The battery may be low. Recharge the internal battery or replace the AAA battery.
  • Ensure you are not in Moonlight mode or a lower brightness setting. Cycle through modes using Button 1 or Button 2.
• Accidental activation:
  • Activate Lockout Mode by quadruple-clicking Button 1 when carrying the flashlight.
