Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Power Strip: Carefully remove the Philips CHP2432W Power Strip from its packaging. Inspect for any visible damage.
  2. Choose a Location: Place the power strip on a flat, stable surface, away from water sources, heat, and direct sunlight. Ensure the cable can reach the wall outlet without being stretched or kinked.
  3. Connect to Power Source: Plug the power strip's main plug into a standard 220-250V~ wall outlet.
  4. Connect Devices: Insert the plugs of your electronic devices (e.g., home theater, laptop, monitor, projector, television) into the universal sockets of the power strip. Ensure plugs are fully inserted.
  5. Activate Power: Press the main control switch on the power strip to the "ON" position. The power strip is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

  • Main Control Switch: Use the single main control switch to turn power ON or OFF for all connected devices simultaneously. This switch also acts as a circuit breaker for overcurrent protection.
  • Universal Sockets: The three universal sockets are designed to accommodate various plug types. Ensure a secure connection for optimal performance and safety.
  • Child Safety Shutter: Each socket is equipped with a child safety shutter. This mechanism helps prevent accidental insertion of objects into the live contacts, enhancing safety for children.
  • Overcurrent Protection: The power strip includes a 10A overcurrent circuit breaker. If the total current drawn by connected devices exceeds 10 Amps (2500W at 250V), the circuit breaker will trip, cutting off power to protect your devices and the power strip.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and the power strip for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires, cracked casing, or loose connections. If damage is found, discontinue use immediately and contact support.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the power strip in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Troubleshooting

No power to connected devices:
  • Ensure the power strip's main plug is securely inserted into the wall outlet.
  • Check if the main control switch on the power strip is in the "ON" position.
  • Verify that the wall outlet itself is functioning by plugging in another device.
  • If the main control switch has tripped (it might be in an intermediate position or "OFF"), it indicates an overcurrent. Unplug some devices, then reset the switch by pushing it firmly to "OFF" and then back to "ON".
Devices not charging/powering on:
  • Ensure the device's plug is fully inserted into the power strip's socket.
  • Check the device's own power switch and cable.
  • Try plugging the device into a different socket on the power strip or directly into a wall outlet to isolate the issue.
