2. Setup and Assembly

Your Vivi Folding Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps carefully for complete setup. For visual guidance, please refer to the installation video below.

2.1 Handlebar Installation

  1. Insert the handlebar stem into the front fork tube.
  2. Ensure the handlebar is aligned straight with the front wheel.
  3. Tighten the quick-release lever or bolts securely to fix the handlebar in place.

2.2 Front Wheel and Fender Installation

  1. Remove the protective cap from the front fork.
  2. Carefully align the front wheel with the fork dropouts, ensuring the brake rotor slides correctly into the brake caliper.
  3. Install the axle nuts and tighten them securely using a wrench.
  4. Attach the front fender to the designated mounting points on the fork and secure it with the provided screws.

2.3 Pedal Installation

Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal has a reverse thread.

  1. Screw the left pedal (L) counter-clockwise into the left crank arm.
  2. Screw the right pedal (R) clockwise into the right crank arm.
  3. Tighten both pedals firmly with a wrench.

2.4 Seat Post and Saddle Installation

  1. Insert the seat post with the saddle into the frame's seat tube.
  2. Adjust the seat height to a comfortable and safe riding position.
  3. Secure the seat post using the quick-release lever, ensuring it is tight enough to prevent movement during riding.

2.5 Battery Installation and Removal

The 48V 374.4Wh removable battery is integrated into the bike's frame. To remove the battery for charging or security:

  1. Fold the e-bike first to access the battery compartment.
  2. Use the provided key to unlock the battery.
  3. Carefully pull the battery out of the frame.
  4. To reinstall, slide the battery back into the frame until it clicks into place, then lock it with the key.

2.6 Folding Mechanism

The bike features a lightweight aluminum alloy collapsible frame for easy storage and transport.

  1. Locate the main folding latch on the frame.
  2. Open the safety lock and then the main latch.

3.1 Powering On/Off and LED Display

  1. To turn on the bike, long press the 'M' button on the LED display for a few seconds.
  2. The LED display shows current speed, battery level, and pedal assist mode (low, med, high).
  3. To turn off, long press the 'M' button again.

3.2 Riding Modes

  • Electric Mode: Use the throttle for full electric power without pedaling.
  • Pedal Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the LED display to select from 5 speed assist levels.
  • Normal Bike Mode: Turn off the electric assist to ride the bike like a traditional bicycle.
