5. Operating Instructions

The EMOS ZM4328 TORI LED Ceiling Light features an integrated microwave motion sensor for automatic operation.

Motion Sensor Functionality

  • The microwave motion detector reacts to movement within a range of up to 6 meters.
  • Unlike traditional PIR sensors, microwave sensors can detect movement even through thin doors, window glass, or thin walls, offering broader coverage.
  • The light will automatically turn on when motion is detected and turn off after a set delay if no further motion is detected.

Adjusting Sensor Settings (DIP Switches)

The light features DIP switches to adjust sensitivity, detection range, and hold time. These switches are typically located on the side of the fixture, accessible by opening a small cover.

Refer to the markings next to the DIP switches for specific settings related to:

  • Detection Range: Adjusts the maximum distance at which motion is detected.
  • Hold Time: Sets the duration the light remains on after the last detected motion.
  • Daylight Sensor (Lux Level): Determines the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active. For example, you can set it to only activate when it's dark.

Note: Always disconnect power before adjusting DIP switches to avoid electrical hazards.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: To clean the light fixture, ensure the power is off. Use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or diffuser.
  • Insect Protection: The high IP54 protection class prevents mosquitoes or flies from entering the lamp, reducing the need for internal cleaning.
  • No User Serviceable Parts: The LED light source is integrated and not designed for user replacement. Do not attempt to open the sealed unit beyond accessing the wiring and DIP switches.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EMOS ZM4328 TORI LED Ceiling Light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on.No power supply.
Incorrect wiring.
Daylight sensor setting too high.
Check circuit breaker and power connection.
Verify wiring connections (Live, Neutral).
Adjust the daylight sensor (Lux) setting on the DIP switches.
Light stays on constantly.Continuous motion detected.
Hold time setting too long.
Sensor malfunction.
Ensure no constant movement in the detection area.
Adjust the hold time setting on the DIP switches to a shorter duration.
If problem persists, contact support.
Light turns on/off too frequently.Sensitivity too high.
Detection range too wide.
Reduce the sensitivity and/or detection range using the DIP switches.
Sensor does not detect motion.Sensitivity too low.
Detection range too narrow.
Obstruction blocking sensor.
Daylight sensor setting too low (light always on).
Increase sensitivity and/or detection range via DIP switches.
Ensure no large metal objects or thick walls are directly in front of the sensor.
Adjust the daylight sensor (Lux) setting.
