Operating Instructions

Wi-Fi 6E Tri-Band Mesh

The Deco XE75 Pro utilizes Wi-Fi 6E technology with three distinct bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) to provide superior mesh Wi-Fi. This tri-band setup ensures optimal performance and coverage for up to 5,500 square feet and supports up to 200 devices.

2.5G WAN/LAN Port

Each Deco XE75 Pro unit is equipped with one 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port and two 1 Gigabit LAN ports. The 2.5G Multi-Gig port supports various connection speeds (10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, and 2.5 Gbps), allowing you to fully utilize high-speed broadband internet plans up to 2.5 Gbps.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro system, consider the following maintenance tips:

  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the Deco app. Updates often include performance improvements, security patches, and new features.
  • Placement: Ensure Deco units are placed in open areas, away from obstructions like large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Cleaning: Keep the units clean and dust-free to prevent overheating. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Restart Schedule: Consider setting a regular restart schedule for your Deco system via the app to refresh network performance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Deco XE75 Pro system, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check Status Light: The LED indicator on the Deco unit provides status information (green for good connection, yellow for weak, red for no internet). Refer to the Quick Installation Guide for specific light meanings.
  • Restart Devices: Restart your modem and all Deco units. Wait a few minutes for them to fully boot up and re-establish connection.
  • Check Cable Connections: Ensure all Ethernet cables are securely plugged into the correct ports on both the Deco units and your modem.
  • Relocate Deco Units: If you experience weak signals in certain areas, try repositioning your Deco units closer to each other or to the affected area.
  • Deco App Diagnostics: Use the Deco app's diagnostic tools to identify and resolve common network issues.
  • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your Deco units. This will erase all custom settings, and you will need to set up the system again from scratch using the Deco app.
