7. Installation Instructions

Tools Required: Drill, screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder (if mounting high).

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that provides the desired illumination coverage and motion detection area. Ensure the surface is sturdy enough to support the floodlight.
  2. Disconnect Power: Before starting any electrical work, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker to avoid electric shock.
  3. Mount the Bracket: Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the floodlight's bracket to the chosen surface. The bracket allows for 180° adjustment.
  4. Wire Connection: Connect the floodlight's 1.5m power cable to your main power supply. Ensure correct wiring:
    • Brown wire: Live (L)
    • Blue wire: Neutral (N)
    • Yellow/Green wire: Ground (E)
Secure all connections with appropriate connectors and electrical tape.
  5. Adjust Floodlight Angle: Loosen the screws on the side of the bracket to adjust the floodlight head to the desired angle. Tighten the screws once adjusted.
  6. Adjust Motion Sensor: The motion sensor can be rotated and tilted to optimize its detection area. Adjust it to cover the desired zone.
  7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

8. Motion Sensor Settings

The motion sensor has three adjustable knobs: SENS, TIME, and LUX. These allow you to customize the floodlight's behavior.

Figure 5: Motion Sensor Adjustment Knobs. The knobs control sensitivity, duration, and light activation threshold.

  • SENS (Sensitivity): Controls the detection distance of the motion sensor. Rotate clockwise to increase sensitivity (up to 12m), and counter-clockwise to decrease it (down to 3m).
  • TIME (Time Duration): Sets how long the light remains on after motion is detected. Rotate clockwise to increase the duration (up to 3 minutes), and counter-clockwise to decrease it (down to 5 seconds).
  • LUX (Ambient Light Sensor): Determines the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active.
    • Rotate towards the 'Sun' icon: The sensor will activate the light both during the day and at night when motion is detected.
    • Rotate towards the 'Moon' icon: The sensor will only activate the light when motion is detected in low light conditions (at dusk or night).

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the floodlight's surface and the motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the power cable for any signs of damage or wear. Inspect mounting hardware for tightness.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: The LED light source is integrated and not replaceable. Do not attempt to open or repair the floodlight, as this will void the warranty and may cause electrical hazards.
