6.3 Milk Frothing
The steam wand allows for manual micro-foam milk texturing, essential for lattes and cappuccinos.
- Prepare Milk: Fill the milk pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Position Steam Wand: Submerge the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk.
- Activate Steam: Turn the central dial to the right (steam icon). Steam will begin to dispense.
- Texture Milk: Keep the wand tip just below the surface to create a swirling motion and incorporate air, producing micro-foam. Once the desired texture and temperature are reached, turn the dial back to the center to stop steaming.
- Clean Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying. Briefly activate the steam again to clear any internal milk blockages.
