Introduction

The VOCOlinc RGBIC Neon Rope Lights (Model: NL2201) are designed to bring vibrant and customizable lighting to your home. Featuring advanced RGBIC technology, these 10ft smart rope lights allow for multiple colors to be displayed simultaneously within a single strip, offering a dynamic lighting experience far beyond traditional RGB strips.

Compatible with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Assistant, you can control your lighting with simple voice commands or through the intuitive VOCOlinc APP. Enjoy features like Music Sync Mode, stepless dimming, and adjustable color temperature to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Setup and Installation

Physical Installation

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the wall or surface where the rope lights will be installed is clean and dry. Use a dry cloth to wipe away any dust or debris.
2. Design Your Shape: Plan the desired shape or pattern for your neon rope lights. The flexible design allows for creative installations.
3. Confirm Clip Placements: Use the provided 10 clips and 10 screws to secure the rope light. Strategically place the clips along your design path to ensure the light is held firmly in place.
4. Secure the Neon Rope Light: Insert the neon rope light into the installed clips.
5. Connect to Power: Plug the adapter into a power outlet and connect it to the control box, then to the neon rope light.

App and Network Connection

The VOCOlinc Neon Rope Lights require a 2.4GHz wireless network for smart control. Ensure your device is connected to a 2.4GHz network during the setup process.

1. Download the VOCOlinc APP: Scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or search for "VOCOlinc" in your device's app store.
2. Power On and Reset (if needed): Make sure your accessory is powered on and nearby. To return to factory settings, press and hold the power button on the control box for approximately 10 seconds. The strip will then blink for several seconds to indicate it has been reset.
3. Search for Accessory: Open the VOCOlinc APP and follow the on-screen instructions to search for new accessories. The app should detect the NL2201 device within about 30 seconds.
4. Connect to Device: Select the detected device and click "Connect". You will be prompted to connect to a temporary Wi-Fi network created by the device.
5. Enter Wi-Fi Credentials: Once connected to the device's temporary network, enter your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password.
6. Connection Successful: After successful connection, you can name your device and assign it to a room.
7. Third-Party Integration: For voice control, navigate to the "3rd party connection" section in the app settings to pair your lights with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant.

Operating Instructions

Smart Control Features

• Voice Control: Once paired with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, or Google Assistant, you can control the lights using voice commands. For example, say "Alexa, turn off the light" or "Hey Siri, turn the light to yellow."
• App Remote Control: Use the VOCOlinc APP to control your smart neon light strip from anywhere, anytime. The app provides comprehensive control over colors, effects, brightness, and schedules.

Dynamic Lighting Effects

• Dynamic RGB+IC Technology: The lights feature advanced RGB+IC technology, allowing for multiple colors to be displayed simultaneously along the rope. This creates flowing animation effects and a richer visual experience compared to traditional RGB strips.
• 16 Million Colors: Choose from a vast spectrum of 16 million colors to match your mood or decor.
• Music Sync Mode: The lights can change color and flashing speed in rhythm with music and melody. The VOCOlinc APP offers 4 music modes for an immersive entertainment experience.
• Stepless Dimming: Adjust the brightness from 0% to 100% to achieve your desired light intensity.
• Adjustable Color Temperature: Customize the color temperature between 2200K (warm white) and 7000K (cool white) for optimal visual comfort.
• Themed Lights: Select from various themed lights (e.g., Christmas, Nature, Festive, Mood) for different occasions.

Scheduling and Group Control

• Schedule & Timer: Utilize the timetable function to automatically turn lights on or off at specific times with your preferred color and brightness. This can function as a light alarm clock, gradually brightening in the morning or dimming for sleep.
• Group Control: If you have multiple 10 ft strips of LED neon lights, use the group control feature in the app to manage them centrally.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: To maintain optimal performance and appearance, periodically wipe the neon rope light with a dry, soft cloth. Ensure the light is unplugged before cleaning.
• Waterproof Rating: The neon lights are IP67 waterproof, suitable for indoor and outdoor decoration. However, the adapter and control box are NOT waterproof and must be protected from moisture.
• Secure Mounting: For long-term stability, especially on vertical surfaces or in areas with temperature fluctuations, utilize the provided clips and screws for secure mounting. While the lights have adhesive backing, additional mechanical fastening is recommended for best results.

Troubleshooting

Connectivity Issues

• Lights not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during setup. The lights do not support 5GHz networks.
• Device not found in app: Make sure the light strip is powered on and within range of your Wi-Fi router. Try performing a factory reset by pressing and holding the power button on the control box for approximately 10 seconds until the strip blinks. Then, attempt to pair again.

Adhesion Problems

• Light strip falling off surface: While the light strip has adhesive, for long-term secure mounting, especially on textured surfaces or in areas with temperature changes, use the included 10 clips and 10 screws. These provide a more robust physical attachment.
• Surface Preparation: Always ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and smooth before applying the adhesive or installing clips.

General Operation

• Lights not responding to voice commands: Verify that the lights are correctly paired with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, or Google Assistant through the VOCOlinc APP's "3rd party connection" settings. Check your smart assistant's app for any connectivity issues.
• Limited effects/functions through smart assistant: Some advanced lighting effects and customization options may only be fully accessible through the dedicated VOCOlinc APP. Use the app for full control over dynamic modes and detailed color adjustments.
