Safety Information

Setup and Installation

The ICOFRU Solar Shed Light is designed for flexible installation, allowing the solar panel to be placed separately from the light unit.

1. Choose Installation Location

  • Solar Panel: Select an outdoor location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Avoid shaded areas from trees, buildings, or other obstructions. The 16.5ft (5m) cable provides flexibility for placement.
  • Light Unit: Choose an indoor or outdoor area where illumination is desired, such as a shed, gazebo, chicken coop, barn, garage, or patio. Ensure the light unit is within reach of the solar panel's cable.

2. Mount the Solar Panel

  1. Position the solar panel in your chosen sunny location.
  2. Use the provided mounting hardware (screws and anchors) to securely attach the solar panel to a wall, roof, or other stable surface. Adjust the angle of the solar panel to face the sun for optimal charging.

3. Mount the Light Unit

  1. Hang the light unit using its integrated hook or mount it to a ceiling/wall using appropriate hardware.
  2. Ensure the motion sensor on the light unit is facing the area where motion detection is desired.

4. Connect the Solar Panel to the Light Unit

  • Carefully connect the 16.5ft (5m) cable from the solar panel to the input port on the light unit. Ensure the connection is secure.
  • Route the cable neatly and securely to prevent tripping hazards or damage.

Operating Instructions

Your ICOFRU Solar Shed Light is controlled by the included remote control. Ensure the remote has working batteries.

  • ON/OFF: Press the red "ON" button to turn the light on, and the black "OFF" button to turn it off.
  • Mode Selection (1-5): Press the corresponding number button (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to select a lighting mode.
  • Brightness Adjustment (+/-): Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the light intensity across 4 levels (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
  • Timer (2H/4H/6H): Set the light to stay on for a fixed duration of 2, 4, or 6 hours. The light will turn off automatically after the set time.

Lighting Modes

The light offers 5 distinct lighting modes, catering to various needs. In sensor modes (1, 2, 4), the light will dim or turn off after approximately 15 seconds without detected motion.

  1. Mode 1 (Night - Dim to Bright with Motion): At night, the light stays dim. When motion is detected, it becomes super bright. After 15 seconds of no motion, it returns to dim.
  2. Mode 2 (Night - Off to Bright with Motion): At night, the light remains off. When motion is detected, it turns super bright. After 15 seconds of no motion, it turns off.
  3. Mode 3 (Night - Constant ON): The light remains constantly on at night (Dusk to Dawn).
  4. Mode 4 (Full Day - Off to Bright with Motion): The light remains off during both day and night. When motion is detected, it turns super bright. After 15 seconds of no motion, it turns off. This mode allows daytime operation without covering the solar panel.
  5. Mode 5 (Full Day - Constant ON): The light remains constantly on during both day and night. This mode allows daytime operation without covering the solar panel.

Maintenance

  • Solar Panel Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, snow, or debris. A clean panel ensures optimal sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Light Unit Cleaning: Clean the light unit with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: The internal batteries are designed for long-term use. If the light's performance significantly degrades over time, ensure the solar panel is receiving adequate sunlight. Battery replacement is generally not user-serviceable.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check the connection cable for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.

Troubleshooting

  • For daytime operation, select Mode 4 (Off to Bright with Motion) or Mode 5 (Constant ON). Modes 1, 2, and 3 are primarily for night-time operation.
