4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation. It is recommended to have two people for installation.
- Prepare the Installation Area: Choose a suitable location on an exterior wall. The recommended mounting height for optimal motion sensor performance is 2.5 meters. Ensure the power supply is turned off at the main circuit breaker.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the mounting bracket against the wall at the desired installation height. Use a pencil to mark the drilling points.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your wall material. Insert the provided wall plugs.
- Secure Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly secured.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the electrical wires from your mains supply to the terminal block on the fixture. Ensure correct polarity (Live, Neutral, Earth) and secure all connections.
- Mount the Fixture: Carefully attach the light fixture to the mounting bracket, ensuring all wires are tucked away safely and not pinched. Secure the fixture with any retaining screws.
- Restore Power: Once the fixture is securely mounted and all connections are checked, restore power at the main circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions
The LUTEC Polo LED Outdoor Wall Light is designed for automatic operation thanks to its integrated motion sensor. Once installed and powered, the light will activate based on the motion sensor settings.
6. Motion Sensor Settings
The integrated motion sensor allows for customization of detection parameters. Adjustments are typically made via small dials or switches located on the sensor unit itself (refer to Figure 4 for sensor location). The specific adjustment method may vary; consult the detailed diagram or markings on the sensor.
- Detection Angle: The sensor has a 180-degree detection angle.
- Detection Range: Adjustable from 0 to 10 meters (when mounted at 2.5 meters height).
- Timer (Illumination Duration): Adjustable from 10 seconds up to 10 minutes. This controls how long the light stays on after motion is detected.
- Light Sensitivity (LUX): Adjustable to 10 lux. This setting determines the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active. For example, at 10 lux, the light will only activate when it is relatively dark.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure the power is off. Use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
- LEDs: The integrated LED light source is not user-replaceable. If the LED fails, the entire fixture may need to be replaced.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply. Sensor sensitivity too low (too bright). Faulty wiring. | Check circuit breaker. Adjust LUX setting on sensor. Consult a qualified electrician to check wiring. |
| Light stays on continuously. | Continuous motion detected. Timer setting too long. Sensor malfunction. | Check for obstructions or constant movement in detection area. Adjust timer setting to a shorter duration. Contact customer support. |
| Light flashes or flickers. | Unstable power supply. Loose wiring connection. Faulty LED driver. | Consult an electrician to check power supply. Ensure all wiring connections are secure (power off first). Contact customer support. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | Sensor obstructed. Range setting too low. Mounting height incorrect. | Clear any obstructions in front of the sensor. Adjust detection range setting. Ensure mounting height is around 2.5 meters. |
