2. Safety Instructions
Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance to prevent injury or damage.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the voltage specified on the appliance. Do not operate with a damaged power cord or plug. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
- Hot Surfaces: The distiller unit and the distilled water will be hot during and immediately after operation. Use caution and avoid direct contact with hot surfaces. Allow the unit to cool before handling or cleaning.
- Placement: Place the distiller on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to ensure proper ventilation. Do not operate in enclosed spaces.
- Water Level: Never operate the distiller without water. Do not overfill the distiller beyond the maximum fill line.
- Children and Pets: Keep the appliance out of reach of children and pets.
- Cleaning: Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Intended Use: This appliance is intended for distilling water only. Do not use it for distilling other liquids or for purposes other than its intended use.

4. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Assemble Carafe Handle: Attach the handle to the glass carafe if it is not pre-assembled. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Placement: Place the distiller main unit on a clean, dry, stable, and heat-resistant countertop or surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
- Initial Cleaning Cycle: Before first use, it is recommended to perform an initial cleaning cycle. Fill the distiller with water up to the MAX line, place the carafe, and run a full distillation cycle. Discard this first batch of distilled water. This helps to clean any manufacturing residues.
5. Operating Instructions
Operating your VEVOR Water Distiller is straightforward:
- Fill the Distiller: Open the lid of the main unit and fill the stainless steel boiling chamber with tap water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (4 liters).
- Place Carafe: Position the glass collection carafe directly under the distiller's water outlet nozzle.
- Install Charcoal Filter (Optional): If desired, insert one charcoal filter pack into the nozzle of the carafe to further purify the distilled water.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Set Temperature and Time: Use the enhanced control panel to set your desired distillation temperature and time. The dual temperature display shows both the setting and actual temperature. The temperature range is 30-108°C (86-226.4°F). The distillation time can be set from 0 to 99 hours.
- Start Distillation: Press the ON/OFF switch to begin the distillation process. The unit will heat the water, convert it to steam, condense it, and collect it in the carafe.
- Automatic Shut-off: The distiller will automatically shut off when the temperature exceeds 108°C (226.4°F) or when the set time has elapsed.
- After Distillation: Once the cycle is complete, unplug the unit and allow it to cool down completely before handling or refilling. Carefully remove the carafe with distilled water.

6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your distiller.
6.1 Cleaning the Boiling Chamber
Mineral deposits (scale) will accumulate in the boiling chamber after each use. It is recommended to clean the chamber regularly, ideally after every few uses or when significant scale buildup is visible.
- Cool Down: Ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cool.
- Drain Water: Pour out any remaining water from the boiling chamber.
- Apply Cleaning Agent: Use the provided citric acid cleaning powder. Fill the chamber with approximately 1 liter of water and add 1-2 tablespoons of citric acid powder. Alternatively, you can use white vinegar.
- Soak/Heat: Let it soak for several hours or overnight. For stubborn deposits, you can heat the solution by running a short cycle (e.g., 30 minutes) without distilling, then unplug and let it soak.
- Scrub and Rinse: Use a soft brush or cloth to scrub away loosened deposits. Rinse the chamber thoroughly with clean water multiple times to remove all cleaning agent residues.
Tip: To reduce scale buildup, leave a small amount of water (e.g., 1-2 cm) at the bottom of the boiling chamber after each cycle instead of completely drying it out. This can help prevent minerals from hardening.

6.2 Replacing Charcoal Filters
The charcoal filter packs should be replaced regularly, typically after 2-3 months of use, or as needed based on water quality and usage frequency.
- Remove the old charcoal filter from the carafe nozzle.
- Insert a new charcoal filter pack into the nozzle.
6.3 Cleaning the Cooling Fan
The integrated 4-blade aluminum fan ensures efficient heat dissipation. Periodically check the fan area for dust or debris and clean it gently with a soft brush or cloth to maintain optimal cooling performance.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VEVOR Water Distiller, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Distiller does not turn on. | No power supply; power cord not properly connected; unit overheated. | Check power outlet and cord connection. Allow unit to cool down if it recently shut off due to overheating. |
| Distillation speed is slow. | Insufficient water; low ambient temperature; scale buildup in boiling chamber. | Ensure proper water level. Clean the boiling chamber to remove scale. Operate in a room temperature environment. |
| Water has an unusual taste/odor. | First use residues; charcoal filter needs replacement; carafe not clean. | Perform initial cleaning cycle and discard water. Replace charcoal filter. Clean the glass carafe thoroughly. |
| Unit shuts off prematurely. | Overheating protection activated; low water level; timer setting. | Check water level. Allow unit to cool. Verify timer settings. |
| Water spills from the top. | Pressure buildup; lid not properly sealed. | Ensure the lid is securely placed and sealed. Do not overfill the boiling chamber. |
