Kalia TANA 1500W Dry Inertia Electric Radiator with LCD Screen User Manual

Model: TANA 1500W | Reference: BAT-HT15PXGA

1. Introduction and Product Overview

Thank you for choosing the Kalia TANA 1500W Dry Inertia Electric Radiator. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new heating appliance. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

The Kalia TANA radiator features dry inertia heating technology, utilizing a cast iron heating core to provide gentle and continuous warmth. It is equipped with an electronic control system and an LCD screen for precise temperature management and programming.

Principle of Operation

The radiator operates by heating a cast iron plate using an integrated electrical resistance. The cast iron core accumulates heat and then slowly releases it over several hours, even after the heating element has cycled off. This thermal inertia provides a consistent and comfortable heat distribution, contributing to energy efficiency compared to conventional radiant panels or convectors.

If you encounter issues with your Kalia TANA radiator, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Radiator does not turn on. No power supply; Power button off; Circuit breaker tripped. Check power connection; Press power button; Reset circuit breaker.
Radiator is not heating. Temperature setting too low; Mode set to Frost-Free; Open window detected. Increase temperature setting; Change mode to Comfort or Eco; Close windows/doors.
Temperature displayed is inaccurate. Sensor location; Environmental factors. Adjust the set temperature to achieve desired room temperature (e.g., if you want 20°C, set to 18°C if it consistently reads 2°C higher). This is a known characteristic for some units.
Radiator overheats and shuts off. Blocked air vents; Overheat protection activated. Ensure air vents are clear; Allow radiator to cool; Check for proper installation and clearances.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Kalia customer support.
