Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Powering On:
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the G6 unit and the vehicle's USB port.
    • Verify that the vehicle's USB port is supplying power. Try a different USB port or a USB car charger if available.
    • If the device previously worked and now does not, try using a different USB cable. A faulty cable can prevent power delivery.
  • No GPS Signal / Inaccurate Speed:
    • Ensure the device has a clear view of the sky. Obstructions like tunnels, tall buildings, or heavy tree cover can interfere with GPS reception.
    • Allow sufficient time for the device to acquire GPS signals upon startup, especially after being moved to a new location.
    • If speed readings appear consistently inaccurate, ensure the correct speed unit (MPH/KM/H) is selected in the settings.
  • Display Not Visible / Too Dim:
    • The device has automatic brightness adjustment. Ensure the sensor is not obstructed.
    • In extremely bright conditions, direct sunlight might make the display harder to read. Adjust the device's angle if possible.
  • Alarms Not Functioning:
    • Check the device settings to ensure over-speed and fatigue driving alarms are enabled and configured to your desired thresholds.
