The DRY-ST510P is a front-facing single-camera drive recorder designed for reliable incident recording. It features 1 million pixel HD recording, a 105° diagonal viewing angle, and a G-sensor for automatic event recording. The included 16GB high-durability MLC microSD card ensures stable performance and helps prevent data loss during critical moments.

  • Do not operate the device or adjust settings while driving. Always pull over to a safe location before making any adjustments.
  • Use only the provided power cable and accessories. Using unauthorized accessories may cause damage or malfunction.
  • The microSD card is a consumable item. Regular replacement is recommended to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data loss.

  2. Attach Mounting Bracket: Clean the chosen area on the windshield. Securely attach the adhesive mounting bracket to the windshield.
  3. Mount the Device: Slide the DRY-ST510P unit onto the mounting bracket until it clicks into place.
  4. Insert microSD Card: With the device powered off, insert the provided 16GB microSD card into the designated slot until it clicks.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the 5V converter cigarette plug power cord into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly to avoid interference with driving controls.
  6. Adjust Lens Angle: Power on the device and adjust the camera lens to capture the desired field of view.

4.3 Initial Settings

Upon first power-on, you may need to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen prompts and use the device buttons (PWR, MENU, MODE, OK) to navigate and confirm settings.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Automatic Recording

Once powered on and connected to your vehicle's power, the DRY-ST510P will automatically begin recording when the vehicle starts and stop recording when the vehicle is turned off.

5.2 G-Sensor Recording

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid deceleration/acceleration. When such an event occurs, the device automatically saves the footage from before and after the event into a separate, protected folder on the microSD card. This prevents critical incident footage from being overwritten during continuous recording.

5.3 One-Touch Recording

To manually save a specific moment, press the designated button (refer to your device's button layout, typically the 'OK' button during recording). This will save the current footage into a protected folder, similar to G-sensor recordings, ensuring it is not overwritten.

5.4 SD Card Check Function

The device includes an SD card check function. If the microSD card is missing, damaged, or experiencing an error that prevents recording, the device will notify you with an on-screen display and an audible alert. This helps prevent recording failures.

5.5 File Protection (Supercapacitor)

In the event of a sudden power interruption, such as during an accident, the integrated supercapacitor provides a brief power supply to safely save the current recording file. This minimizes the risk of data corruption and ensures important footage is preserved.

5.6 Parking Recording (Optional)

Parking recording functionality is available with an optional accessory (sold separately). When the optional accessory is installed, the device can record events while your vehicle is parked, providing additional security.

6. Maintenance

6.1 microSD Card Maintenance

  • Regular Formatting: It is recommended to format the microSD card regularly (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent fragmentation. Formatting will erase all data on the card, so back up any important files first.
  • Replacement: As the microSD card is a consumable item with a limited lifespan due to continuous overwriting, replace it periodically (e.g., every 1-2 years, depending on usage) to ensure reliable recording.

6.2 Cleaning the Device

Gently wipe the device's lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device's surface or lens.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Check the power cable connection to the cigarette lighter socket and the device. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on.
  • Not recording: Verify that the microSD card is properly inserted and not full. Check for any SD card error messages (refer to the SD card check function). Try formatting or replacing the microSD card.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges or dirt. Check that the protective film has been removed from the lens.
  • G-sensor not triggering: Ensure the G-sensor sensitivity setting is appropriate for your driving conditions.
  • Buttons unresponsive: Try resetting the device by disconnecting and reconnecting the power.

If issues persist after attempting these troubleshooting steps, please contact Yupiteru customer support.
