Setup and Assembly

The CHAOKE Fitness Bike Model 8702 arrives approximately 70% pre-assembled. The remaining assembly involves attaching the handlebars, saddle, and pedals. An assembly tool is included. Assembly typically takes about 25 minutes.

  1. Attach the Stabilizers: Secure the front and rear stabilizers to the main frame using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure they are tightened firmly for stability.
  2. Install the Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the left pedal counter-clockwise and the right pedal clockwise into their respective crank arms. Tighten securely with the provided wrench.
  3. Mount the Saddle: Insert the saddle post into the frame and adjust it to a comfortable height. Secure it using the adjustment knob. Attach the saddle to the saddle post and tighten the fasteners.
  4. Install the Handlebar: Insert the handlebar post into the frame and adjust it to your preferred height. Secure it using the adjustment knob. Attach the handlebar to the post and tighten the fasteners.
  5. Connect Monitor Cables: If applicable, connect any sensor cables from the bike to the multi-functional monitor. Ensure connections are snug.

Operating Instructions

  • Adjusting Handlebar and Saddle: Use the adjustable knobs located on the handlebar and saddle posts to set them to a comfortable height and position. The bike accommodates users with heights ranging from approximately 150 cm to 190 cm (5 ft 11.0 inches - 6 ft 2.8 inches). Ensure adjustments are securely tightened before use.
  • Adjusting Resistance: The bike utilizes a magnetic resistance system. Rotate the resistance knob clockwise to increase the workout intensity and counter-clockwise to decrease it. This non-contact system ensures quiet operation.
  • Using the Calf Brake: To bring the flywheel to an immediate stop, press down firmly on the red calf brake mechanism located on the resistance knob assembly.
  • Multi-functional Monitor: The digital monitor displays key workout metrics including speed, mileage, time, and calories burned. To monitor your heart rate, grip the handlebars where the pulse sensors are located. The monitor will display your heart rate in real-time.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the bike frame and components with a damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish.
  • Checking Connections: Periodically inspect all bolts, nuts, and moving parts to ensure they are secure. Tighten any loose connections to maintain the bike's stability and ensure safe operation.
  • Flywheel and Resistance System: The non-contact magnetic resistance system means the flywheel does not experience friction-based wear. Therefore, no lubrication is required for the resistance mechanism.

Troubleshooting

  • Unstable Operation: Ensure the bike is placed on a flat, level surface. Verify that all assembly bolts, especially those for the stabilizers, are securely tightened.
  • Monitor Not Displaying Data: Check that the monitor's batteries are correctly installed and functional. Ensure all sensor cables connecting the bike to the monitor are securely plugged in.
  • Unusual Noises: Inspect for any loose parts or components. Ensure the pedals are securely tightened. While the magnetic resistance system is designed for quiet operation, persistent unusual noise may indicate a loose component that needs tightening.
  • Contacting Support: For issues not resolved by these steps, please contact CHAOKE customer support. When contacting support, provide your product model number (8702) and a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.
