2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of injury, property damage, or electric shock, always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances. Read all instructions before using this dispenser.

  • This appliance is for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Place the dispenser on a hard, level surface in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging.
  2. Place the dispenser upright on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation (at least 4 inches from walls).
  3. Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

4.2 Installing the Water Bottle (Bottom Load)

This dispenser features a convenient bottom-loading design, eliminating the need to lift heavy water bottles.

  1. Open the lower cabinet door of the dispenser.
  2. Place a fresh 3 or 5-gallon water bottle into the cabinet.
  3. Insert the probe assembly from the dispenser into the neck of the water bottle. Ensure it is securely seated.
  4. Close the cabinet door completely. The dispenser will not pump water unless the door is fully closed.

4.3 Initial Cleaning and Power Connection

  1. Before first use, it is recommended to flush the water lines. Dispense several cups of water from the cold water faucet until the water runs clear and free of any plastic taste.
  2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
  • Ice Indicator: Lights up when the ice making function is active.
  • Cold Water Indicator: Lights up when the cold water cooling function is active.
  • Add Water Indicator: Illuminates when the water bottle is empty and needs replacement.
  • Make Cold Water Button: Activates/deactivates the cold water cooling.
  • Make Ice Button: Initiates/stops the ice making cycle.
  • Ice Fill Indicator: Lights up when the ice storage bin is full.
  • Water Fill Indicator: Lights up when the internal water reservoir needs refilling from the bottle.

5.2 Dispensing Cold Water

  1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and the water bottle is installed.
  2. Press the "Make Cold Water" button on the control panel. The cold water indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Place a glass under the cold water faucet.
  4. Press the cold water dispensing lever to fill your glass. Release to stop.
  5. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the water to cool to optimal temperature after initial setup or refilling.

5.3 Making Ice

  1. Ensure the unit is plugged in and has sufficient water in the reservoir.
  2. Press the "Make Ice" button on the control panel. The ice indicator light will illuminate.
  3. The unit will begin producing ice cubes. Each cycle takes approximately 6-8 minutes, producing 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes.
  4. The ice maker will automatically stop when the ice storage bin is full (Ice Fill indicator will light up) or when there is insufficient water.
  5. The unit does not keep ice frozen indefinitely. Melted ice water is recycled back into the system for new ice production.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures hygienic operation and extends the life of your dispenser.

6.1 Cleaning the Drip Tray

The dispenser is equipped with a removable drip tray for easy cleaning.

  1. Pull the drip tray forward to remove it from the unit.
  2. Empty any accumulated water.

  4. Dry completely before reinserting into the dispenser.

6.2 General Cleaning

6.3 Descaling (Recommended Annually)

Mineral deposits can build up over time. Descaling helps maintain performance.

  1. Unplug the dispenser and remove the water bottle.
  2. Prepare a descaling solution (e.g., a mixture of white vinegar and water, or a commercial descaling agent).
  3. Pour the solution into the water reservoir.
  4. Allow the solution to sit for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Drain the solution completely from the dispenser. You may need to dispense it through the faucets.
  6. Rinse the system thoroughly by filling the reservoir with clean water and dispensing it until no vinegar smell remains. Repeat several times.
