4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

This battery requires a HART 20V battery charger (not included). Ensure you use only HART-approved chargers for optimal performance and safety.

  1. Connect the HART 20V charger to a standard power outlet.
  2. Align the battery pack with the charger and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
  3. Observe the charger's indicator lights. Refer to your charger's manual for specific light patterns indicating charging status (e.g., charging, fully charged, error).
  4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

Note: New batteries are shipped in a low-charge state to prevent power loss during shipping. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.

4.2 Installing the Battery into a Tool

  1. Ensure the power tool is turned off and disconnected from any power source (if applicable).
  2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
  3. Slide the battery into the tool until it locks firmly into place. You should hear a click.
  4. To remove the battery, press the release latches (usually blue buttons on the sides of the battery) and slide the battery out of the tool.
