Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your UPPAbaby Cruz V2 Stroller. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference. The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 is designed for children from birth (with appropriate accessories like the Infant SnugSeat or Bassinet) up to 50 lbs.

Important Safety Information

Always secure your child with the harness.
Never leave your child unattended in the stroller.
Do not use the stroller on stairs or escalators.
Ensure all locking devices are engaged before use.
Do not overload the storage basket; maximum weight capacity is 30 lbs.
The stroller is not intended for jogging, skating, or running.
Always engage the brake when the stroller is stationary.

Setup and Assembly

1. Unfolding the Stroller Frame

Place the folded stroller on a flat surface.
Release the frame latch.
Lift the handlebar until the frame locks into place with an audible click.

2. Attaching the Wheels

Insert the rear wheels into the axle until they click securely.
Insert the front wheels into the front wheel housings until they click securely.
Pull on each wheel to ensure it is properly attached.

3. Installing the Toddler Seat

Align the Toddler Seat posts with the receivers on the stroller frame.
Push down firmly until the seat clicks into place.
Verify the seat is securely attached by pulling upwards.
The Toddler Seat can be installed forward-facing or parent-facing.

4. Attaching the Bumper Bar

Insert the bumper bar ends into the designated slots on the Toddler Seat.
Ensure it clicks into place. The bumper bar pivots for easy child access.

Operating Instructions

Harness System

To secure your child, place the shoulder straps over their shoulders and the waist straps around their waist.
Connect the buckle tongues into the buckle housing until they click.
Adjust the harness straps for a snug fit using the no-rethread adjustment system.
To release, press the button on the buckle housing.

Reclining the Toddler Seat

Locate the recline lever on the back of the Toddler Seat.
Press the lever and adjust the seat to the desired recline position.
Release the lever to lock the seat in place.

Adjusting the Handlebar

Press the button on the center of the handlebar.
Extend or retract the handlebar to your preferred height.
Release the button to lock.

Brake Operation

To engage the brake, press down on the red pedal located near the right rear wheel. A visual indicator will confirm engagement.
To release the brake, lift the green pedal.
Always engage the brake when the stroller is stationary.

Folding the Stroller

Ensure the Toddler Seat is in the forward-facing position (if attached).
Pull up on the two triggers located on the sides of the handlebar.
Push the handlebar forward and down until the stroller folds compactly.
The stroller stands independently when folded.

Canopy Adjustment

The canopy can be extended or retracted as needed for sun protection.
It features a zip-out extension for additional coverage and mesh panels for airflow.

Compatible Accessories

The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 is compatible with various accessories to enhance its functionality for different ages and stages:

Infant Car Seats: UPPAbaby MESA and ARIA Infant Car Seats attach directly without adapters, forming a travel system.
Bassinet: A separate Bassinet accessory can be attached for newborns, providing a lie-flat sleeping environment.
Infant SnugSeat: Provides additional comfort and support for infants in the Toddler Seat.
PiggyBack Accessory: Allows an older child to stand and ride on the back of the stroller.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Fabric: Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Frame: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Wheels: Clean regularly with water and remove any debris.
Leather Accents: Wipe with a damp cloth. Use a leather cleaner/conditioner as needed.

Storage

Store the stroller in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Ensure the stroller is clean and dry before storing to prevent mold or mildew.

Regular Checks

Periodically check all fasteners, rivets, and connections for tightness and security.
Inspect the wheels and brakes for proper function and wear.
Ensure the harness system is in good condition and free from damage.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Stroller does not fold.	Toddler Seat not forward-facing; triggers not fully engaged.	Ensure Toddler Seat is forward-facing. Pull both folding triggers simultaneously and firmly.
Wheels squeak or are stiff.	Debris in wheel mechanism; lack of lubrication.	Clean wheels and axles. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts.
Brake not engaging/disengaging.	Debris in brake mechanism; worn brake components.	Clear any debris from the brake pedal and mechanism. If issue persists, contact customer support.
Harness difficult to buckle/unbuckle.	Debris in buckle; misaligned buckle tongues.	Inspect buckle for obstructions. Ensure buckle tongues are inserted correctly.
