2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any tape or protective film. Inspect the appliance for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of clearance around the appliance for proper ventilation.
  • Avoid placing the ice maker near heat sources (e.g., ovens, radiators) or in direct sunlight.
  • Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet.

4.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker. The SOOPYK IC1202 features a self-cleaning function:

  1. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX fill line.
  2. Press and hold the 'ON/OFF' button for 5 seconds to activate the self-cleaning cycle.
  3. The cleaning cycle will run for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Once complete, drain the water by removing the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
  5. Rinse the interior with fresh water and drain again.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to produce ice with your SOOPYK IC1202 Ice Maker:

  1. Fill Water: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  2. Power On: Close the lid and press the 'ON/OFF' button to start the ice-making process. The indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Ice Production: The machine will begin producing ice. The first batch of 9 ice cubes will be ready in approximately 5-6 minutes. Subsequent batches may be faster.
  4. Ice Collection: Once ice is made, it will drop into the removable ice basket. Use the provided ice scoop to retrieve ice.
  5. Indicators:
    • The 'Ice Full' indicator will light up when the ice basket is full. The machine will pause ice production until some ice is removed.
    • The 'Add Water' indicator will light up when the water level in the reservoir is low. Add more water and press the 'ON/OFF' button to resume ice production.
  6. Turn Off: To stop ice production, press the 'ON/OFF' button.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

As mentioned in the setup section, the self-cleaning function can be activated by pressing and holding the 'ON/OFF' button for 5 seconds. This cycle helps to clean the internal water circulation system.

6.2 Regular Cleaning

To drain water from the unit, locate the drain plug at the bottom of the ice maker. Place a container underneath, remove the plug, and allow all water to drain out. Replace the plug securely after draining.

6.4 Storage

If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and completely dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
