3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Fuel Mixing

Proper fuel mixture is critical for engine performance and longevity. Always use fresh, high-quality gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil.

  • For FB grade oil: Mix 25:1 ratio (approximately 5.1 ounces of oil per gallon of gasoline).
  • For FD grade oil: Mix 40:1 ratio (approximately 3.2 ounces of oil per gallon of gasoline).

WARNING: Ensure you select the correct FB or FD 2-cycle engine oil. Bar and chain oil is NOT for the engine.

3.2 Bar and Chain Installation

The F070W powerhead is compatible with 36-inch and 42-inch guide bars. Ensure the guide bar tail mount dimension is 14.2mm (E099), with a 0.404" chain pitch and 0.063" chain gauge for low kickback. This powerhead does not include the guide bar and chain, which must be purchased separately.
