This charger supports both Level 1 (110V) and Level 2 (240V) charging, offering adjustable amperage settings to suit various power sources and charging needs. Its compact and durable design makes it ideal for both home and travel use.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Control Box and Display

The control box features an intuitive LCD screen and LED indicators for monitoring the charging process and status.

  • LCD Screen: Displays real-time data including actual voltage, selected amperage limit, charging power, and charging amperage.
  • LED Indicators:
    • Power (Green): Indicates power connection.
    • Charge (Yellow): Indicates active charging.
    • Fault (Red): Indicates an error or fault condition.

3.2 Charging Connector (SAE-J1772)

The charger is equipped with a standard SAE-J1772 connector, ensuring wide compatibility with most electric vehicles in North America.

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

The GODIAG EV101 supports both NEMA 5-15P (Level 1, 110V) and NEMA 6-20 (Level 2, 240V) outlets. Use the appropriate adapter cable for your power source.

  • For Level 1 (110V): Attach the NEMA 5-15P adapter to the charger's NEMA 6-20 plug. Plug into a standard 110V household outlet.
  • For Level 2 (240V): Plug the charger's NEMA 6-20 plug directly into a NEMA 6-20 outlet. Ensure your outlet/breaker is rated for 20 Amps or higher.

Important: Always ensure the power outlet and wiring are capable of handling the selected amperage to prevent overheating or damage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Connecting to Your Vehicle

  1. Plug the charger into the appropriate power outlet (NEMA 5-15P or NEMA 6-20). The green Power LED on the control box will illuminate.
  2. Open your electric vehicle's charging port.
  3. Insert the SAE-J1772 charging connector firmly into your vehicle's charging port until it clicks into place.

5.2 Adjusting Current

The GODIAG EV101 allows you to adjust the charging current to 8A, 10A, 13A, or 16A. This is useful for matching the charger's output to your vehicle's needs or the available power supply.

  1. Before connecting to the vehicle, or while connected but not actively charging, press the 'Current Switching' button on the control box to cycle through the available amperage settings.
  2. The selected amperage will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  3. Once the desired amperage is selected, connect the charger to your vehicle (if not already connected) to begin charging.

5.3 Charging Process

Once connected and the current is set, the charger will initiate charging. The yellow Charge LED will blink, and the LCD screen will show real-time charging data. When charging is complete, the charger will automatically stop, and the Charge LED will turn solid.

  • Keep the control box and connector clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

  • Ensure the dust cover for the J1772 connector is in place when not charging to protect it from dust and moisture.
