Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected. This emergency light is designed for wall mounting.
1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the emergency light and all components from the packaging.
- Verify that all included components are present: 1 emergency light unit and adhesive pictogram stickers.
- Inspect the unit for any visible damage.
2. Battery Connection
The integrated LiFePo4 battery is typically delivered disconnected for safety during transport. Locate the battery compartment and connect the battery cable to the appropriate connector inside the unit. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Mounting the Unit
- Choose a suitable location for wall mounting, ensuring clear visibility of the exit sign.
- Mark the drilling points on the wall using the unit as a template.
- Drill holes and insert appropriate wall plugs (not included, depending on wall material).
- Secure the emergency light unit to the wall using screws.

4. Electrical Wiring (220-240 V)
Connect the main power supply (220-240 V) to the designated terminals within the unit. This should be performed by a qualified electrician.
The unit supports two operating modes based on wiring:
- Continuous Operation (Maintained Mode): If the bridge between terminals L and Ls is left as supplied, the light will illuminate continuously when power is present. In case of a power outage, the battery will provide illumination for approximately 3 hours.
- Emergency-Only Operation (Non-Maintained Mode): To operate only during power outages, remove the bridge between terminals L and Ls. Connect the phase (L) and neutral (N) wires as indicated. In this configuration, the battery will charge, and the emergency light will only illuminate for approximately 3 hours when the main power supply fails.
5. Applying Pictogram Stickers
The included adhesive stickers can be easily removed from their film and applied to the diffuser. Select the appropriate arrow direction (down, up, left, or right) and the fleeing person symbol (right or left) as required for your specific exit route. Two green stickers without symbols are provided to fill any unused diffuser surface.

Operating Instructions
Normal Operation
Once properly installed and wired, the EMOS LED Emergency Light will operate according to the chosen mode:
- Continuous Operation: The light will remain illuminated as long as main power is supplied. The battery will charge during this time.
- Emergency-Only Operation: The light will remain off during normal power supply. The battery will charge.
Emergency Mode
In the event of a power failure, the integrated battery will automatically activate, providing illumination for up to 3 hours. This ensures the exit route remains visible.
Test Button Function
A manual test button is provided on the unit. Pressing this button will simulate a power outage and activate the emergency mode, allowing you to check the current battery level and functionality of the emergency light. Release the button to return to normal operation.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EMOS LED Emergency Light, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Light does not illuminate (Continuous Mode) or does not charge:
- Check the main power supply to ensure it is active.
- Verify that the battery cable is securely connected inside the unit.
- Ensure wiring connections (L, N, Ls) are correct according to the desired operating mode.
- Light does not illuminate during power outage (Emergency Mode):
- Ensure the battery was connected during installation.
- The battery may not be sufficiently charged. Allow the unit to charge for at least 24 hours after initial installation or a prolonged power outage.
- The battery may have reached the end of its lifespan. Consider battery replacement if it's beyond the 2-year warranty or shows significant degradation.
- Light duration in emergency mode is less than 3 hours:
- The battery may not be fully charged. Ensure continuous power supply for adequate charging.
- Battery degradation over time is normal. If significantly reduced, consider battery replacement.
- Pictogram stickers do not adhere well:
- Ensure the diffuser surface is clean and dry before applying stickers.
