1. Introduction

The Serpent Cobra SRX8 GTe 1/8 RTR Electric On-Road Sedan is engineered for electric GT racing, offering precise control and maximum cornering force. Its chassis adheres to ROAR and IFMAR rules, featuring a minimum kick-up angle for improved clearance over track obstacles. The design incorporates aluminum bulkheads and suspension brackets for durability and precise handling. Advanced HTD Differentials with large gears ensure optimal engagement and reduced performance fade. The vehicle is powered by a 120A ESC and a 1900kV motor, providing robust performance right out of the box.

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Transmitter Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment on the Dragon-RC pistol type transmitter.
2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment securely.

3.2. Vehicle Battery Installation and Charging

1. Ensure your 2S Lipo hard-packs (3800 mA or more with T-style connector) are fully charged using compatible charging equipment.
2. Remove the bodyshell from the SRX8 GTE.
3. Securely place the charged Lipo batteries into the low-positioned longitudinal battery boxes.
4. Connect the batteries to the Dragon-RC 120A waterproof speed controller, ensuring correct polarity.
5. Replace the bodyshell, ensuring it is securely fastened.

3.3. Initial Power-Up

1. Turn on the transmitter first.
2. Then, turn on the power switch on the vehicle's speed controller.
3. Observe the LED indicators on both the transmitter and ESC to confirm successful binding and power-up.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Controls

• Steering: Use the steering wheel on the transmitter to control the vehicle's direction (left/right).
• Throttle: Use the trigger on the transmitter to control forward and reverse movement. Pull for forward, push for reverse/brake.

4.2. Driving Tips

• Start with gentle throttle inputs to familiarize yourself with the vehicle's response.
• Practice steering and braking in an open area before attempting high-speed maneuvers.
• The waterproof speed controller allows for operation in damp conditions, but avoid full submersion.

5. Maintenance

• Inspect all screws and fasteners for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary.

• Check the oil-filled shocks for leaks and proper damping. Refill or replace shock oil as needed.

• Check if both the transmitter and vehicle are powered on.
• Ensure batteries in both the transmitter and vehicle are fully charged.

• Inspect tires for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
• Check for debris obstructing the drivetrain or wheels.
