4.1 Using the Trundle Bed

The trundle bed is designed for convenient extra sleeping space. To use:

  1. Gently pull the trundle bed from underneath the lower bunk. It is equipped with wheels for smooth movement.
  2. Ensure the area around the trundle is clear of obstructions before pulling it out.
  3. To store, simply push the trundle back under the lower bunk until it is fully recessed.

4.2 Using the Storage Stairs

The integrated stairs provide both access to the upper bunk and convenient storage.

  • Each stair step features a storage compartment. To access, lift the lid of the desired step.
  • Ensure the lids are securely closed before stepping on them.
  • Do not overload the storage compartments.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and safety of your bunk bed.

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the wood finish.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability.
  • Slat Inspection: Regularly inspect the wooden slats for any signs of damage or cracking. Replace damaged slats immediately.
  • Trundle Wheels: Keep the trundle wheels clean and free of debris to ensure smooth operation.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Bed feels wobbly: This is usually due to loose hardware. Re-check and tighten all bolts and connections throughout the entire bed frame and stair unit.
  • Trundle not sliding smoothly: Check for any obstructions under the lower bunk or around the trundle wheels. Clean the wheels if necessary. Ensure the trundle frame is assembled correctly.
