Operating Instructions
Data Transfer (PC Mode)
When connected to a computer, the docking station functions as an external drive enclosure. Ensure the CLONE/PC switch is set to PC mode.
- Your computer should automatically detect the inserted drives. For new drives, you may need to initialize and format them through Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac OS) before use.
- The docking station supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), providing up to 6Gbps max speed for SATA III drives, which is significantly faster than traditional USB 3.0.

Offline Clone Function
The offline clone function allows you to duplicate a source drive to a target drive without connecting to a computer. The target disk must be larger than or equal to the source disk's capacity.
- Disconnect the docking station from your PC.
- Insert the source drive into the 'Source Disk' slot (usually the first slot, labeled 'A').
- Insert the target drive into the 'Target Disk' slot (usually the second slot, labeled 'B').
- Ensure the CLONE/PC switch is set to CLONE mode.
- Press and hold the START button for 5 seconds until the clone indicator lights turn on and you hear a long beep. This indicates the cloning process has begun.
- The clone indicator lights will show the progress (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). A long beep will sound when the clone is complete.
- Once cloning is complete, power off the docking station and remove the drives.
Important: Backup all files on the target disk before cloning, as they will be overwritten during the process.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ORICO Dual Hard Drive Docking Station, please refer to the official Troubleshooting Guide (PDF) for detailed solutions.
Common Issues and Tips:
- Drive Not Detected: Ensure the drive is fully seated in the slot. Check all cable connections (USB and power). Verify the docking station is powered on. For new drives, ensure they are initialized and formatted in your operating system's disk management utility.
- Mac OS Connection Issues: Some Mac OS versions may require adjusting security settings to allow accessories to connect. Navigate to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Allow accessories to connect, and set it to 'Always' or 'Ask for new accessories' to ensure proper detection.
- Cloning Failure: Ensure the target disk's capacity is larger than or equal to the source disk's capacity. Double-check that the CLONE/PC switch is in the CLONE position and the START button is pressed for the required duration.
- Slow Transfer Speeds: Ensure your computer's USB port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (or USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1) for optimal UASP performance. Check that the cable is securely connected.
