2. Product Features

2.1 Durable Construction

The key box is manufactured from cold-rolled steel, providing robust security. It features an environmentally friendly anti-rust coating and a 3-layer anti-corrosion construction for long-term durability. The reinforced steel core is designed to resist forceful impacts.

2.2 Multiple Unlocking Methods

Access to the lockbox can be achieved through several convenient methods:

  • App Unlock (Bluetooth): Unlock directly from your smartphone via Bluetooth.
  • One-Time Password (OTP): Generate temporary passcodes for visitors or specific access periods.
  • Wi-Fi Remote Unlock: Requires the WeHere W100 bridge (sold separately) for remote management and unlocking from anywhere.
  • Fixed Code: Set a permanent access code for regular users.
  • Key Unlock: A traditional physical key is included as a backup unlocking method.

2.4 Thoughtful Design

The key cabinet door frame incorporates magnets, ensuring the doors automatically close when near each other. This feature helps keep the box securely shut even if the lock mechanism is not immediately engaged.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting the Key Box

The key cabinet comes with pre-drilled holes, screws, and wall anchors for quick and easy installation. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose a suitable wall location for mounting.
  2. Use the key box as a template to mark the positions for drilling holes.
  3. Drill pilot holes and insert the wall anchors.
  4. Secure the key box to the wall using the provided screws.

3.2 Battery Installation

The keypad lock is powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries. Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings. The battery level can be monitored within the application.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 App Download and Setup

Download the official WeHere app from your device's app store (available for Apple/Android). Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and pair your key box. This typically involves scanning a QR code provided with the product.

4.2 Unlocking Methods via App

  • Dynamic Password: The app can generate a randomly generated code that changes frequently (e.g., every minute). This code can be shared via URL for temporary access.

  • Period (or Time) Password: Set a password that is valid only for a specific duration, which you define.

  • Bluetooth Unlock: Conveniently unlock the box by shaking your phone when within Bluetooth range, after enabling the feature in the app.

  • Wi-Fi Remote Unlock: If you have the WeHere W100 bridge, you can unlock the key box remotely via Wi-Fi from any location.

4.3 Manual Key Unlock

In case of battery depletion or other issues, the physical key can be used to unlock the box. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn to open.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

When the app indicates low battery, replace the 2 AA alkaline batteries promptly. The external battery box design allows for easy replacement without needing to dismantle the key box from the wall.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the key box with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 App Connectivity Issues

  • Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled and you are within range of the key box.
  • Verify your phone's internet connection if using Wi-Fi remote unlock (and ensure the Wi-Fi bridge is properly set up).
  • Try restarting the app or your phone.
  • If issues persist, uninstall and reinstall the app. Ensure your phone's region settings are correct, as some users have reported issues with country code recognition during initial setup.

6.2 Keypad Not Responding

  • Check the battery level in the app or replace the batteries if they are low.
  • Ensure you are pressing the keys firmly and accurately.
  • If a specific key on the keypad is unresponsive, contact customer support.

6.3 Door Not Closing Properly

  • Ensure no keys or objects are obstructing the door's closure.
  • Verify that the magnetic closure is functioning correctly.
