3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
The MOICO T5 radios require 4 AAA batteries per unit (not included).
- Ensure the radio is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Press down on the latch and slide the cover downwards to remove it.
- Insert 4 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

3.2. Attaching the Belt Clip
To attach the belt clip, align the clip with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it upwards until it locks into place. To remove, push the release tab and slide the clip downwards.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power (⑂) button until the LCD screen illuminates and you hear a tone.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power (⑂) button until the LCD screen turns off.
4.2. Adjusting Volume
Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons to adjust the listening volume. The volume level is displayed on the LCD screen.
4.3. Channel Selection
- Press the MENU button once. The channel number will flash on the LCD.
- Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to select your desired channel (1-22).
- Press the PTT button to confirm your selection and exit the menu, or press MENU again to move to the next setting.
4.4. CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System)
CTCSS tones help filter out unwanted conversations on a channel. Both radios must be set to the same channel and CTCSS tone to communicate.
- Press the MENU button twice. The CTCSS code will flash.
- Use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to select a CTCSS code (01-99). Select '00' to disable CTCSS.
- Press the PTT button to confirm and exit, or MENU to proceed.

- Press the PTT button to transmit on the active channel, or press SCAN again to resume scanning.

You can send an audible call tone to other radios on the same channel.
- Quickly press the PTT button twice to send a call tone.
4.8. Keypad Lock
To prevent accidental changes to your settings:
- Press and hold the MENU (🔒) button until the lock icon appears on the LCD.
