Setup
1. Download the BroadLink App
Search for the "BroadLink" app in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
2. Power On and Connect HTS2 Sensor
- Connect the RM4 PRO+ hub to a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) using the provided USB cable.
- Plug the HTS2 sensor cable into the USB port of the RM4 PRO+ hub. The sensor will automatically begin monitoring temperature and humidity.
3. Network Configuration (AP Distribution Mode)
The RM4 PRO+ supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. It does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi or mesh routers. Ensure your Wi-Fi password contains no more than 32 characters and uses standard keyboard characters.
- Ensure the blue indicator light on the RM4 PRO+ is in an indirect flash state (AP distribution mode). If not, refer to the troubleshooting section or the device's quick start guide to enter this mode.
- On your mobile phone, connect to the Wi-Fi network that begins with "BroadLink".
- Open the BroadLink app, navigate to "Add Device", and select "RM4 Pro".
- Follow the on-screen prompts in the app to complete the network configuration.
Important Note: If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks at home, temporarily turn off all other Wi-Fi networks except for the 2.4 GHz network you intend to connect the RM4 PRO+ to. Re-enable other networks after successful configuration.

Operating the Device
1. Adding Appliances (IR/RF Control)
Once the RM4 PRO+ is connected to your Wi-Fi, you can add IR and RF controlled devices.
- In the BroadLink app, select "Add Appliance" and choose the type of device (e.g., TV, Air Conditioner, Projector, Curtain Motor).
- The app will guide you through the process of learning IR or RF signals from your existing remote controls.
- For IR devices, ensure there are no obstacles between the RM4 PRO+ and the device being controlled.
- For RF devices, the RM4 PRO+ supports 433MHz fixed code devices. It does not support RF Rolling Code control or learning. Verify your RF device is not a rolling code type before attempting to learn.
2. Temperature and Humidity Monitoring (HTS2)
The HTS2 sensor cable, when connected, allows the BroadLink app to display real-time temperature and humidity readings of the room where the device is located.

3. Voice Control Integration
The RM4 PRO+ is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control of your connected devices.
- For Alexa: Enable the "BroadLink" skill in the Amazon Alexa app, link your BroadLink account, and discover devices. You can then voice control devices like your TV, set-top box, air conditioner, and fans.
- For Google Home: Link your BroadLink account in the Google Home app. You can voice control devices such as your air conditioner.
Ensure your devices can be remotely controlled from external networks for voice control functionality.

4. Automation and Scenes (IFTTT)
Leverage the HTS2 sensor data and device control for smart automation and scenes.
- IFTTT Integration: The RM4 PRO+ is compatible with IFTTT (If This Then That). Enable the BroadLink service in the IFTTT app to create custom automation routines based on various triggers and actions.
- Temperature/Humidity Based Automation: Create rules such as "IF temperature rises, THEN turn on the air conditioner" or "IF humidity is low, THEN turn on the humidifier."
- Scheduled Scenes: Set up scenes like a "Sleep" scene that automatically turns off the TV, adjusts the air conditioner, and closes curtains at a specific time.

Maintenance
- Keep the device in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ensure the HTS2 sensor cable is not bent sharply or damaged, as this may affect its accuracy.
Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The RM4 PRO+ does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Avoid using mesh routers, as they are not supported for configuration.
- Check your Wi-Fi password for special characters not found on a standard keyboard or if it exceeds 32 characters.
- During setup, temporarily disable other Wi-Fi networks to prevent interference.
- Ensure the device is in AP distribution mode (blue indicator in indirect flash state).
- IR device not responding:
- Verify there are no physical obstacles between the RM4 PRO+ and the IR-controlled device.
- Ensure the RM4 PRO+ is within range and line-of-sight of the IR device.
- Re-learn the IR signal in the BroadLink app if the issue persists.
- RF device not responding:
- Confirm that your RF device uses a 433MHz fixed code. The RM4 PRO+ does not support RF Rolling Code devices.
- If your remote control requires pairing for first use, it is likely a rolling code and will not be compatible.
- Re-learn the RF signal in the BroadLink app.
- Voice control not working:
- Ensure the BroadLink skill/service is enabled and linked in your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Verify that devices are discovered in your voice assistant app.
- Check that the RM4 PRO+ has a stable internet connection.
