3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Taking a Measurement

  1. Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Place the cuff on your upper arm, ensuring it is snug but not too tight. One finger should fit comfortably between the cuff and your arm. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm, aligned with your artery.
  3. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  4. Press the "START/STOP" button. The cuff will begin to inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and silent during the measurement. The device will provide an audio prompt to remind you.
  6. Once the measurement is complete, your systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate will be displayed and announced (if audio is enabled). The device will automatically shut off after 30 seconds.

3.2 Display and Audio Interpretation

  • Green: Blood pressure below 140mmHg (Normal).
  • Light Yellow: Blood pressure between 140-180mmHg (Mild to Moderate Hypertension).
  • Red: Blood pressure above 180mmHg (Severe Hypertension).

The audio reading function will verbally announce your results, which is particularly helpful for users with visual impairments.
