4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble the meat grinder attachment and connect it to your SEVERIN Food Processor:
- Prepare the Food Processor: Ensure your SEVERIN Food Processor (KM 3896 or KM 3897) is unplugged and stable on a flat surface.
- Attach the Grinder Housing: Locate the attachment port on the front of your food processor. Insert the meat grinder housing into this port, aligning it correctly. Secure it by turning the locking mechanism on the food processor until it clicks into place.
- Assemble Internal Components: Insert the auger/worm screw into the grinder housing. Place the cutting blade onto the end of the auger, ensuring the sharp edges face outwards towards the disc.
- Select and Place Disc: Choose either the fine or coarse perforated disc depending on your desired result and place it over the cutting blade. For sausage filling, use the white filling disc. For biscuits, attach the biscuit accessory.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Meat Grinding
- Prepare meat by cutting it into pieces that fit easily into the feeding tray. Remove any bones or tough sinews.
- Ensure the fine or coarse perforated disc is installed.
- Place a suitable bowl or container beneath the grinder outlet to collect the minced meat.
- Plug in the food processor and select a low to medium speed setting.
- Feed the meat pieces into the feeding tray. Use the food pusher to gently guide the meat down the chute. Do not force the meat.
- Once grinding is complete, switch off and unplug the food processor.

- Assemble the grinder with the white filling disc and one of the sausage filler attachments.
- Prepare your sausage mixture.
