Setup

1. Unpacking and Filter Preparation

  1. Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
  2. Locate the filter compartment, typically on the back or side of the unit.
  3. Open the filter cover and remove the HEPA filter. The filter is usually wrapped in plastic for protection during shipping.
  4. Remove all plastic packaging from the HEPA filter.
  5. Insert the unwrapped HEPA filter back into the compartment, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  6. Close the filter cover securely.

2. Placement Options

The NEWPAD KJ-460 offers versatile placement options:

  • Freestanding: Attach the provided feet to the bottom of the unit for stable placement on a table, desk, or floor.
  • Wall-Mounted: Use the included wall-mount bracket and screws to securely attach the purifier to a wall. Ensure the wall can support the unit's weight and that there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.

3. Power Connection

Plug the power cable into a standard electrical outlet. The unit is now ready for operation.

Operating Instructions

The NEWPAD KJ-460 can be operated using the touch controls on the unit or the included remote control.

1. Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button (Power button icon) on the unit or the remote control to turn the air purifier on or off.

2. Fan Speed Adjustment

  • Press the Speed button (Fan speed icon) to cycle through different fan speeds (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Turbo). The current speed will be indicated on the digital display.

3. Auto Mode

  • Press the Auto button on the remote control to activate Auto Mode. In this mode, the air purifier automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the detected air quality.

4. Sleep Mode

  • Press the Sleep button on the remote control to enter Sleep Mode. In this mode, the unit operates at the lowest fan speed and dims the display lights for quiet operation during rest.

5. Air Quality Indicator

  • The digital display on the unit shows the current air quality level (e.g., PM2.5 concentration) and the fan speed setting.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air purifier.

1. Filter Replacement

The HEPA filter should be replaced periodically, typically every 6-8 months, depending on usage and air quality. Refer to the filter indicator light on the unit for replacement reminders.

  1. Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
  2. Open the filter compartment cover.
  3. Remove the old filter by pulling on the attached tab.
  4. Dispose of the old filter responsibly.
  5. Insert a new, unwrapped NEWPAD KJ-460 replacement filter into the compartment.
  6. Close the filter compartment cover securely.
  7. Plug in and power on the unit. Reset the filter life indicator if applicable (refer to the unit's display or remote for specific instructions).

2. Exterior Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
